Hi all, this has probably been asked a million times but just incase there is more info now than before I thought to ask again. I'm looking to finally create my own game (using twine as I am a horrible artist and ai art hurts my soul, so I'll be using real life)

Are there any good sites to get me started on my quest as in help in development, how to get stats working and stuff like that? I am completely new to twine/coding in general so I'm looking for anything of basic help and then stuff to set me on my way to more advanced things.

Thanks,

HPkingt

As you are stating that you are new to coding in general, your question is pretty misleading. You seem to lack the basic steps to make a game, because how and what to do with the tool (twine) usually comes pretty late in those steps.

Rule of thumb for any tool is: start reading and doing the tutorials provided with the tool. After that you understand basic handling of it. Once you got that covered, it is very much depending on what your game design is about.

This is where your game design plan comes into play. Have a proper plan what you actually want to make. That will actually either lead to asking more precise questions or asking the right questions for what you want to achieve with the tool.

Once you get that covered people can be very helpful, as you can ask precisely what you try to achieve ;) People will not give you a crash course in how to use twine here.

You can use publicly available you tube videos. Also twine formats like SugarCube, Harlowe provide documents
