Ren'Py - Twisted World [v0.1.5 Patch 4] [SnatsGames]

This used to be my all-time favorite H-Game, hands down.
But after the remake started, I have mixed feelings.

Art-wise, I LOVE it. The new models are AMAZING, and are EASILY at the top of my list. They're way better than they used to be, not just in terms of attractiveness (which is crazy, because they were good even then, they're just EVEN BETTER now!) but even the quality has SKYROCKETED.
They're so much better, and I love to see it.
I don't know if I'm fond of the MC having such long hair, but that's neither here nor there.

However... story wise... I hate to say that am a bit disappointed.
On one hand, the setting has been given more depth. This is appreciated, and even the world itself has things actually happening in it to give it some much-needed "life".

But the MC story is, I hate to say, pretty bad once you reach the hospital. Which is bad news since that's maybe 2/3rds of the content in 0.1.5.

It's just scene after scene of the MC squeezing their hog.
One could argue that at least there are NSFW of the girls, but if I'm completely honest, since it's the MC's imagination I just didn't really care in the slightest about those scenes. And I felt similarly about the voyeurism scene - what's the point of the MC being unable to cum, but then just watching some girls who very clearly would be very welcoming towards the MC? It doesn't make sense. I think there's supposed to be some sort of implication that the MC is "out of it" in some way, during those scenes, but that still doesn't make sense because even in the old version when the MC was "out of it" (at the beach), they pounced on needy women.

It's just so. Much. Talking. The MC lies in bed in the hospital while everybody talks around and to them for what I think actually amounted to at least an hour of gameplay.
It's not that the dialogue is even bad either - I really like the building of the characters and relationships. I just think it goes on for way, WAY too long.
In fact, two days are repeated with the sister and mother.

Anyways. This got kind of ramble-y.

So overall I have loved this game for years, I really have, and I hope it's development goes strong for a LONG time to come - at least to where the story was pre-remake, but ideally even further.

I really hope this doesn't turn out to be another sad case of a game that used to be great get destroyed and disrespected by it's developer! But it's been around for YEARS now, so I trust them not to do that, at least a little bit.

I would give it 5 stars, but I don't feel like there's enough content for that.

I was lured in by the character designs, tags, and story description. Sadly there really isn't much more here than that and therefore it gets rated so poorly. The game has a surprising amount of sex scenes despite there not being much substance to the overall story.

By the time you get through the opening sequence and end up in a hospital you've basically seen all the "story" there is. From then on you just spend every day and night getting jerked off by a male nurse , molested by your doctor in your sleep, and jerking yourself off but being unable to nut because of some unknown reason. It may as well be a "Groundhog's Day" plot as the only real difference is a change in the sex scene and a different interaction with the MC's "family."

You would think a game that really doesn't have much happening in it (yet?) wouldn't have feature bloat but it does somehow. Random +Stat pop ups and "SoAndSo liked that" after choiceless dialogue with no way to check your stats or character relationships. It seems to serve no purpose at all and just leaves me scratching my head.

Apparently this is game was remade, yet I haven't bothered looking in-depth at the differences between then and now. I also don't know when this remake happened, but I would hope assume it's recent because as I said there isn't much happening yet in the story. I really hope things open up soon because I don't know if I could take another day of the MC bitching about his blue balls before getting jerked off by the nurse for the umpteenth time.

This game was developed around the premise that MC faps 18 hours a day for literal years, and therefore lewd scenes should be comprised of what feels like 50+ tiny, rushed lewd scenes.

It looks surprisingly good for such an early version -because is a remaster- which is definitely positive, but this game really, really threw me off. That by itself (barely) earned it one extra star. The story felt the need to spend no less than five minutes concentrating solely on MC's browser history. Let that sink in.

If you are reading this and think it's OK, go ahead, give it a try. Not gonna change your mind. But Twisted World is the opposite of so-called slow-burn games and that is just as bad. Avoid.

The game is just so great.
Beautiest graphic, a lot of "scenes" and characters. Not bad a plot, everything about this game is great, except that it's short. However, the quality is consistent. And if the author completes this game completely, it can become one of the best NSFW games in history.

Another classic example of remake unfinished game will make everything else worse than previous version. the only thing that is good in this game is the graphics, every aspect on this game for example characters, plot, and gameplay are bad.

Your favorite characters will get more scenes? No, let's remade the characters no one asked for and you will never have sex with them for 3-4 years later but you can have sex in your dream. You will learn about world and story after 5 years in development? No, let's remade the entire game and spent years on prologue take it or leave it. Can I visit other locations in this game? yes, you can visit Hospital any time you like and you will never bother going back home.

there are other many reasons why this game is bad but you can play this game if you want short time of amusment and looking for nice porn game graphics.

If you want story, this is terrible. Its writing is nonsensical even for a comedy and the jokes are boring.

The remake should just be a linear VN. May as well watch it online for all the scenes rather than have to go through the game.

In regards of support, there seems to be drama still to this day about the creator milking the game due to the speed of updates, the amount of content, and the force of a remake of an already great success. Well, the stolen assets aside, take it as you are.

Despite being a Ren'Py, it has great h-scenes, a funny story that made me chuckle a couple times, aaaand a lil bit of gameplay here and there but don't expect something crazy out of it gameplay-wise. (no shade on those who make games in this platform, it just really doesn't feel fun to me.)

Anyway, definitely would earn a mention in a list of best h-games i've ever played and if i had to choose the best Ren'Py game, Twisted World would certainly take the spot.

1 of my fav games remake so far is not good as the old ver mostly because the less progress story had so far but it got alot of more details , and the art of the game imporved so much , story changed a lil bit but i think its for the better .

scam, scam, SCAM. Dev remade the game from scratch for no reason, took forever to make the hell intro because he decided to spend time on unnecessary assets no one cared about. 11 months from the previous update, MC is still in the same hospital room and there is actually no story progression because all the new scenes are disjointed and random dreams. The update that was actually teased before is in the testing phase after a literal year. Do not give money to this guy

The game was prefect that's what real remake should look like even tho the game is 0.1.5 it has a lot of H-scene all of them is animated the story gets interesting from the beginning they changed the game type from Sandbox to vn

Was peak until the POV went away and it turned into another generic anime porn slop with yet another terribly designed Main Character

I was hoping for a fully POV experience, which seemed to be the case at the beginning, but once it switches to the generic anime sex game slop you see everywhere on top of the main character being poorly designed and their dialogue being extremely boring, it loses its unique charm fast. Shame.

As of right now the game is extremely extremely rough. I love the renders and the premise but everything else here is just painful. The pacing is easily the worst I've ever seen in any H game let alone any game ever, the dialogue just keeps going and going and so many scenes pass by without the slightest bit of progress in the story or status quo change of the characters. This feels like a 5 or 6 hour prologue and it could easily have been an hour or 2, I'm not exaggerating when I say 70% of the writing here could've been cut and the end product would've been far better.

Beyond just the amount of writing the quality is quite bad as well. Scenes just sort of happen, characters are introduced or focused on only for the game to jump around as if there's no continuity. One minute you're jerking off, the next minute we're focusing on a scene with a complete stranger, another minute a family member is visiting. I'm ok with time lapses and POV shifts, but there's just no craft with the way its done here. Everything ends up feeling so disjointed.

I really do want to like this game so hopefully it'll improve with time, but from the looks of things content isn't really added as frequently as you'd expect and seeing as how the game isn't even past the prologue and its been 5 years I'm not too optimistic here. Still good luck to the dev, I'm hopeful it'll improve soon.

Twisted World is a rare case where you fall in love with the story, the characters, and the animations all at once. Passion, emotion, and pure bliss. Played it in one breath, now I’m sad it’s over. 5/5.

Looks great! No, unironically speaking, it looks amazing. I have this bookmarked and will be back in 2030 for the hopefully completed version. Perhaps it is time to get a sneak peek of what the story would be by checking out the old builds.

Aside from typos and incongruency in the language department which could be fixed (though i'd couldn't care less if it compromises on speed), at least the story, plot and worldbuilding seems surprisingly well-thought through and congruent for a H game.

This one is quite of a peculiar kind.
The reverse mentality of the men and women? I knew it. Making all the men into femboys though? Quite a good idea. The femboys are actually even cuter than the women, since they all have fat bodies, and it is refreshing to see such a twist.

But, I did have my eyes on the game before the remake. Now, I kind of could see how the game would benefit from a remake: it wasn't really good. Basically just giving a cozy vibe without true high or low. No real stakes to play but still not a bad game.
So remaking the whole beginning to shift toward a more story-focused game would have been an understandable idea, allowing the game to growth more appealing to a new audience.

It didn't.
Because of three reasons.

The first one is the other-world part.
Right at the beginning, the game put you as a soul in the other-world, fucking souls and demons on the way out.
The game had a part explaining about the correlation with the demons and the Mc originally, but it was pretty weak.
For a reason: this isn't the main part. Indeed, all happen to the other side, once the Mc get a body. The original scenario was getting that, so it made it short without staying on a part that would bring nothing to the actual story.
The remake is aware of it too. There is a lot of sex in the other-world, yet, almost all of it is with eyeless characters. Proving that they are of no import to the actual game.
Yet, the dev though it was a good idea to spend time fucking mannequins for hours.

The second is the writing: it got lengthy.
In the other-world, it is mainly the Mc speaking alone. It is boring, trying to be comical and stretching out every moment but it isn't the main part so I let it slide.
Hence he get in the actual world, the formula change giving smaller episode, which is common. What isn't is that since the game is a fuckfest, it ends every time with something sexual. A good thing, in theory.
I'll put it simply, the nurse gets in the order HJ, HJ, HJ, HJ, HJ, ThighJ, ButtJ, ThighJ, ButtJ. The doctor, about the same but with BJ and
less diversity at the end. The rest of the time? Peeping on people masturbating or dreams about sex.

What does that mean?
If you are use to the porn's way, then you have already got it. Using the same kind of foreplay is just stalling. There is no progression on the relationship of the characters. The dreams/peeping? Even worse, since nothing actually happen.
The fact that the plays with the characters are also oriented toward the pleasure of the guy only is also a big red flag. It means that there is no corruption. You do not give pleasure, so the other part do not fall for you.
Lastly, since it is just about the guy bursting out, it also means that you'll only see a dick and a hand or head all the time. And no matter how you put it, jerking off on a dick is just gay.
I know that most of the industry is conveniently forgetting that, but it is what it is.

The game make you want to get the next scene, the next step, but it was just an utter disappointment every time.

The third is the body type.
I'm not the kind to care about those, I get it that every one want mainly enormous breasts. That's fine. But here? It's pushing it, you have 2 type of bodies all along: the fat female type and the slim femboy type. The only exception may be the angel at the beginning.
And you do have a lot of scenes with different characters that all feel the same because the body type is always the same, making you wonder why the hell the dev is even bothering at putting so many scenes if it is just to make the same thing again and again.

Now, don't get it wrong. The game does seem promising once you finally get unto it. But that is basically that, it just seems promising. With the stretching out, nothing is delivered.
The worst being that the last update was about to add peeping and dream in an already done prologue with absolutely no purpose. It felt as if the dev had fun to create scenes and just wanted to put them in the game without caring if they were fitting in it.
And a bad creating ethic does not miraculously get better.

simply put. this game is now ass.

the earlier version had more foundation, story, premise. quality content. and for god knows what reason Snats decided to "Remake" it.

after over a year, youre still stuck in the intro section of the game.. the narrative hasnt been moved forwards, and he lies about the amount of renders and animations he does put into his game.

you either have the realists that say it how it is *this dude is scamming people by milking em dry*

or you have the people thats heads are so far up the devs coochie, they couldnt sniff their way back out. lord forbid if someone has a different opinion lmao.

Ultimately, this rendition of Twisted world is a cash grab attempt at restarting the progress entirely, so delay the game ever finishing, so the dev can continue to get monthly checks from those unfortunate enough to fall for it.

there is zero logical reasonings why snats needed to remake. the quality hardly differs from the first iteration of twisted world. id even say the first build was 10 times more fun, 10 times more sexy, 10 times better written. had a better narrative, cooler and more unique looking characters. IT WAS AN ACTUAL GAME WORTH SUPPORTING


this is a cash cow attempt at prolonguing its development to milk the subscribers for more money. logicially there is zero reason to remake this. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. IT WAS BETTER IN ALMOST EVERY WAY. i mourn at the thought of how much greater the first OG build would be now with the time thats passed.

this version IS MEH AT BEST.

You know I'm genuinely bamboozled at this point. Not only did I forget this game got remade for no good reason and has now been in development for 4 or 3 years at this point. But THE ONE UPDATE SO FAR THIS YEAR is still just in the hospital having accomplished nothing.

And if other comments are to be believed a well liked character got booted for no apparent reason too.

So no this dev that is asking for 10-20 dollars does not deserve anything with the glacier past at which anything was updated.

It's a shame really, this game had potential but the dev blew it.

The only saving grace of this game is the amazing renders of the characters; everything else is not good. This game has been in development for nearly four years and is still stuck in chapter 1 cause the Hospital event is the actual first chapter, and the previous Even, where you are in the underworld, is just the Prologue, and it has not progressed out of the first chapter in those years of development. While yes, it is true there are 106 scenes, those are one scene broken into separate ones just to pad out the game's run time. Then there is the technical side. The game is prone to errors, loading issues, and a hard start, unlike the previous update, which seems to be a script issue. Here's hoping that the game develops better or becomes better because I don't see that in the latest update.
