Ren'Py - Twisted World [v0.1.5 Remake] [SnatsGames]

I really enjoyed this game, and I think it has a lot of potential, but there are certainly some issues with the current version of the game.
(Pro's are marked "+" and Con's are marked "-")

Visual Elements:
+ All of the backgrounds appear to be custom-made, which is refreshing considering the amount of times I've played a game with koikatsu renders and had 1 of 3 different bedrooms...
+ Each character has an unique design, and has clearly had a lot of time spent on their model
- Body Types could use some more variation. Almost every female/futa is either busty or extremely busty (however, even the least busty, would be considered decently well-endowed by real-world standards). All the other "males" in the game are traps, and they look more like transwomen than traps. To the point that all of them have like A/B cup breasts (which is only made even wierder by the fact that the MC is the only male with a flat chest)
+ Despite the fact that koikatsu tends to work better for slimmer body types, the dev has made some impressively luscious babes using it.
- Unfortunately, sometimes (I assume due to the limitations of koikatsu) the sheer size of tits/ass can cause it to look a little polygonal.
+ The animations in most scenes are very good; much better than what I'm used to seeing from koikatsu renders
- The POV cam feels a little too rigid; if it was smoother those scenes would look better
- This is probably a personal nitpick, but the pubic stubble on all the women is a bit of a turn-off for me. Also, freshly shaved shouldn't look like that, but that's how it looks during Nora's scene

Audio Elements:
+ Music was all good; always a plus when i don't have to mute the game
- The sound effects are adequate, but they feel generic. The same goes for most of the voice/moaning bits.

Writing Elements:
+ The world of the story is unique; MC is reincarnated into a world with reversed gender roles for reasons I won't spoil.
+ The characters are fun; despite the fact that I think they could all use a fair bit more depth, I really enjoy how they all interact.
+ The MC might be my favorite protag of any H-game i've ever played; i really enjoy his mischievous side.
- There is a rather large number of typo's and various grammatical errors. Nothing horrendous, but they are frequent enough to be noticeable.

Lastly, one lengthy nitpick:
- The world is depicted as being filled with women who basically just all want to rape men, but despite this what we are given is honestly a rather vanilla, heterosexual-male experience. The MC is almost always the dominant partner, even the scenes that lean towards the female being dominant end with them losing dominance to the MC. Even with the inclusion of Futas + Traps to spice things up, the MC is always on top with both of these types of characters, and the futa's/trap's dick is basically ignored, so they might as well be females. (The major issue here is it feels unrealistic within the world you've created especially since women are made out to be way more sexually predatory than men in the real world, but I also think that this is a missed opportunity to add some real sexual variety to the game.)

Take a society with reversed gender roles, ridiculously exaggerated features, add a sprinkling of futa and men with some luscious bubble butts, then toss in a guy from our world who has been reincarnated/isekai'd as an incubus.

I spent so much time giggling at the over-the-top humor in the game. It's not preachy at all and manages to feel a lot like our world. The transformation from kinetic novel to sandbox was a bit jarring, but tasks flow smoothly and aren't difficult to follow.

The heavy use of Japanese shocked eyes (dunno how to describe it, but anime fans will be familiar) was very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing how this game progresses.

Wow this is such an amazing game. It ticks so many boxes for me - even though I am not the biggest fan of futa/trap content this game handles it in a way that I find extremely enjoyable. This is one of those rare games that makes me want to come back to it every couple of months.

Well written, funny and also smart, and very lewd, even if you skip content. If this matches your interests it's a must-get, and I'd urge people to join the Patreon if you enjoyed. This would be five stars just for the writing, the porn is just a bonus!

Only a few minutes in and I'm already hooked fully. Demon chicks, sex-starved lewd chicks, families that fuck, and fembois that I can't wait to see hilt themselves on the absolute beast of a dong the MC has. I'm down bad. Send me to this world next.

So the premise is that men are socially more like women in our society, and the reverse is so for women. Every guy is shy and sensitive and every woman is an overbearing dudebro.

Why is the game five stars? Because Darth Vader is canonically Luke's MOTHER in this show. That's hilarious. I want to see where this goes.

H scenes so far aren't that great, but the art is really good, generally. I like all the characters.

Played: Twisted World [v0.5 Public] - Rating 3.5/5 (Rounded up to 4).

Quick Summary: A must play for those that enjoy Futa (Avoidable), Trap (Avoidable), or greatly exaggerated proportions. The story starts out intriguing and a built-in walkthrough will ensure you don't get stuck in the sandbox portion. Plenty of sexy scenes are already available in the game with animations. However, while it is a sandbox, there appears to be little actual choice so far other than to choose what to avoid.



Pros:

-Interesting intro and for the most part enjoyable writing

-Lots of animations

-Wide variety of content (sex) already in the game or clearly coming down the pipe. Scenes that some of the more opinionated (and loud) posters may have a problem with are avoidable.

-Some characters are well written. The brother character was perhaps the most interesting (Even though they aren’t my cup of tea I still played all their scenes).

-Nameable MC.

-Sandbox that continues to expand as you progress the main story.

-MC is enjoyable a lot of the time. I like his pervy nature (Though some may hate the lack of choice in this).



Meh:
-I found some characters a tad boring (so far). Such as the mother character.

-While the game clearly has plans for repeatable (sexy) scenes, they just aren’t in there yet for the most part. This is annoying for a sandbox. However, it will clearly be remedied at some point.

-While the sex scenes are all animated, I felt some of them were subpar and the angles were off. I feel this may be because of the proportions of some characters. The animations would probably look off or ridiculous from some of the more interesting angles. This probably forced some scenes to be a little conservative.

-Wish the family members were nameable, but completely understandable that they aren’t. I do like that they all use ‘J’ names though.

-Some very slight spelling or grammar issues. However, for the most part very well written. Better than I can write in any case.

-You do need to progress some stories you may not have much interest in to open up the sandbox. Not a big deal and makes 100% complete sense for how the story is progressing, but may be a bit draining in the enjoyment department for some.



Cons:

-MC is just downright annoying at times attempting to be overly cute. Not much choice at how to approach a situation as the MC.

-Some parts of the sandbox just have annoying. Such as one day of the week where a character needs to be in order for you to progress the story. You do have the option to skip time, but for example I still find it annoying that you need to wait for the one day of the week where a character will sit on the couch in the afternoon. Sundays also appear to be a small bottleneck as well. Still, I prefer this to a more linear VN style.


Random Thoughts:
This game has quite the tag list (Though there is quite the debate if one or two aren’t missing). Sandboxes are great as you can usually use this to avoid content you do not like. And to a degree you can do that in this game. However, you still need to progress some characters to start opening the game up more. I am not a fan or large proportions. Since I don’t find them rather attractive it means that a character is even more reliant on their writing to hold my interest. Unfortunately, I just found the mother’s plot to be rather boring, but you need to go through some of it in order to progress the story and open up the game more. Though on the flip side I will say I also don’t like Trap content. The brother though had probably the best arcs and I found myself enjoying it.

I greatly enjoy sandboxes, but really did not like how some things were so bottlenecked at times. Such as characters only showing up at this one area in their house once a week (Fuck that afternoon couch). Yes, you can skip periods and days but usually I try not to waste a whole day. Sundays were also another bottleneck. While from a character standpoint this makes sense (Especially with the mother’s story), I could not help but feel extremely annoyed at times with nothing to do for days and then having to decide on which story to progress as I now have 3 characters in one of their rare spots for the week at the same time (Or their story eats up several time slots meaning I got to wait until next week for the others). I believe there is a better order I could have done things to fill in those gaps a bit better, but for a first-time player it is quite easy to fall into that pit.

I think the combination of some characters not being all that enjoyable (to me) and being bottlenecked in the sandbox at times left me in a state where I was happy to have reached the end of the current content (A bit rare for me). Though the story did suck me in at the start, but as time went on I seemed to lose interest in it. While I feel like I may want to revisit the game again in the future I doubt it will be before a Finished tag is added. However, I don’t feel too bad because I am happy that a lot of people are enjoying this game and hopefully it will continue to help fill the gap in this underserved niche for people that enjoy many of these tags.

This is just plain great work. The dialogue is well-written, the scenes are varied, the premise and story are engaging. The development team has already demonstrated a commitment to the project, so there' sno fear it will be abandoned. I recommend anyone who finds the premise interesting give this one a try - you won't be disappointed.

The game futures a interesting alternative world setting wich makes the whole narative not so boring like other basic games.
Overall the game is actually good and i hope the development will go smoothly because its one of my favorite games out there

From all games i have played this is the only one i keep playing it again and again so it’s 5 star for me , the most thing i like is the MC and his weird expression when he’s talking to everyone he is a true dark soul LOL

that best game i played so far, it has the best animations + sound i see, nice story with good humour but the best are the sex scenes by far, you should give it a try without a doubt. I dont like that much the sandbox mode but it easy going with the guide the game provide

One of the best games I have ever played!

I am attracted to the design of the characters and the backstory with an originality not seen before in other games. (If I had to recommend a list of the best games so far, I would put Twisted World in the first place, they have a great future to contribute and it leaves me restless about the new updates that they will put out !!)

One of the only games that actually made me think about it days later after finishing . Would like to see the UI could have some improvement and another method of skipping time because I had to click 100 times just to get to the weekend so I could finish a characters story.

Update 0.7: Eh, this game really didn't grow into anything amazing, the dev got complete bogged down with custom patron content, spending all his time adding new characters and not developing old ones any further... it started out awesome but i found the last two updates turned it into a pretty mediocre game and i have no hope it'll improve now it's just a cashcow. Also, the incest is half assed, the family only seem to worry about taking advantage of a man than fucking a family member.

Original review:
I love this game, got pretty miffed when i hit the content wall. I love the gender role flip and the MC's comedic sociopathy. I love the rapey doctor, the futa pervert sister, the twinky prince brother, the gorilla sister, the adorable mom, the tutor needs more personality but turning the tables on her was amusing. I totally want to bang the GILF, Gaz and Sapphire are very enjoyable, i hope when Ruby is introduced we get some sister on sister going. The gay content is a huge plus, i was worried things would go no further than some mild fondling but i was pleasantly proven wrong.

PROS

+ Cute anime style character designs.
+ The writting sometimes is very charming and cute.
+ Futa/trap content, is always a plus for me, but if you aren't into that (coward! XD) you can always avoid it.
+ Sweaty, well animated and noisy sex scenes!, great job overall.
+ You get to spend your time doing normal things with your family to unlock the sex scenes which helps you develop an emotional connection with them.

CONS

-Sometimes the anime logic makes the character act a little bit too dumb for my taste.
-You can't really choose the personality of the MC so you will always get a dominant/slightly sociopath MC which is a shame since he is actually a very cute trap.
-If you aren't a fan of oversized attributes you will have a hard time enjoying this game, but you already know that since the main image in this thread makes that point very obvious.

Wow I also cannot recommend this game. You will not be able to enjoy many games after completing this one.

The only unfortunate thing is the mom's model. Still worth going through her storyline but she has literal celestial bodies as tits. Pluto got demoted from the status of being a planet while NASA plans on sending a rover to investigate the things on her chest.

If you don't like trap/futa content this game is still pretty worth it.
