I distinctly remember this since It's been a very long time. But at the beginning of the plot was that two magical girls- one is 'good' and the other is evil fighting it out until the MC gets knocked out and the 'good' one rescues him, she explained to him that the McGuffin fell atop the guy's head and now absorbed within his body. Then the guy realize that she's all in it for the power and ran away from her, then he gets cornered by the evil magical girl that is also trying to extract the power from him too. They both bicker in the same until mind control comes in and does whatever he wants with the two of them because the MC is frustrated.
