Unity - Two Sides Redone [v0.039] [GreonoGames]

The game is a "wandering game"! There are more options to choose from than in any game, but it's great! Any road will lead to the finish line, but the impressions will be different!I find a lot of funny pictures and scenes. In the title picture, the main character is hugging his sister, and in the background are all the other characters who bring the game's scenes to life! Bert and Lindsay are standing next to each other! A brutal guy and a hot girl make up a couple, but still in a quarrel! I wonder how John can affect their relationship! Apparently this is the main event in the game! And many, many more interesting things...

I usually wait for a game to have a long development period before playing it. Two Sides has been in development for 1 year and 9 months, enough time to have a substantial amount of content, but that’s not the case.
Pros:

• The game is good
• There is a large number of characters
• The scenes are hot
• The story is interesting
• There is a huge amount of choices

Cons:

• VERY LITTLE CONTENT FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS
• All the previous pros, combined with the development time, suggest that the game will need more than 10 years to be CLOSE to completion.

Conclusion:
DON’T PLAY IT. Forget about this game, and if it’s not abandoned – which is most likely – it might become a masterpiece in 5 or 6 years

P.S: I almost forgot, it is a REMAKE of the previous ABANDONED game of the dev so maybe i was wrong about 10 years, 20 is most likely

This game is an absolute mess. Let's start with some of my main critiques:

1. Way too ambitious -- there are a lot of characters, but the amount of things you can do are limited to a small handful of them. If there was an idiom to summarize this, it'd be "as wide as an ocean, with the depth of a puddle". As a result of introducing so many different characters and relationships into the story it seems the story development crawls by at a snail-like pace.
2. On-rails "sandbox". Because of the previously mentioned point, the game ends at a preset day, and there is no sandbox. You don't explore and choose which girl you want to progress with first, you're shoehorned into specific events based on what the developer wants. You always start the intro with the train sequence, you then segue into meeting your sister, then going to the park, going home, going to the aunt's house, going to the beach, then going home, then going to the office. There's variations within those events that change who you interact with, but those events are fixed, you have no control over the overall day's events.
3. Lack of in-game direction. One event that frequently gets many players stuck (including myself!) is the beach event, where it's not clear exactly what to do and what the goal is. There's a lot of different scenes that can play out based on different factors, you can kiss your sister based on your relationship with her, you can fondle her in the shower if she's drunk enough, but you don't really know of this unless you're constantly rolling back your save over and over to try out different outcomes. Sometimes the game seemingly stops, giving you no way out of the beach event until you click something random and hope it progresses to the end of the day.
4. Convoluted relationship system. It almost seems simple enough, but the in-game help menu that describes what each stat does is exceedingly vague (especially since a lot of content isnt even developed much). For instance there's a liked stat (yellow thumbs up), a red heart stat (love) and a corruption stat that doesn't show up on the main screen, and a devil stat, but all of them don't seemingly do anything other than serve as stat checks for conversation options. The in-game reasoning for how the stats differentiate themselves doens't reflect the dialogue options you unlock as a result of raising said stats. Why do some characters start at 0 relationship level, and why do you start the game at a very negative relationship level with your sister despite how much she seemingly cares for you at the start?

Sex scenes (what little few exist) are fairly decent, but I can't recommend this game at all to anyone. The myriad of positive reviews and the banner tricked me into thinking this was a content-heavy game to warrant said rating, when really the game feels almost like an initial release despite being in development for months at this point.

this is a great game with a ton of paths! if you miss something (which you will depending on how you want to play the game) there is so much replay value and it has a little something for everyone. developer is very receptive to fans and is clear with his goal and the direction where the game is going on discord and updates are almost monthly. if you are looking for massive updates (summer heat for example) this isnt that game but putting out updates monthly is better in my opinion anyways. looking forward to the future of this game and everything this developer has to bring.

tho this is a reboot, and i believe for the 3rd time, this time the developer is really digging in and seems so invested and thats amazing to see.

Hooked me up, the game is interesting, besides that this is content with minors... your sister is literally 15 and her friend too, sooo, weird and creepy, im not disturbed because im very young myself, but damn, the creator is certainly a weirdo.
The story seems good and the way it progresses is nice, however, its clearly a overambitious project, there are so many tools and options to make you feel like this game has a bunch of paths or that is an open world but it really isnt, it is constantly introducing new characters in a linear matter and you dont even know what is coming up next, some characters simply are forgotten or you forget abut them almost instantly.
There are plenty of glitches/scenes that are repeatable and have no impact and the development focus should be much clearer or at least organized.
Regarding having a normal playthrough without being a creep, you just get to have sex with Lindsey, i mean, thats fine, but that after 4 hours of quickly reading through everything.
I like the pacing and the way new characters are introduced, but i dont like how they are played later, and how little interaction there really is.

Again, suffers from overambition and lack of direction.
And again, the story seems good, except when you get to the wacky lab and experiment parts, it just feels odd and off, like, completely the opposite of the rest of the game and even the vibe, weird direction, all that whole appointment and job interview seems off, almost like forced, as every event that occurs when you go to sleep (so much stuff happened in 3 days huh)

Weird game with potential, if it just used its time better, and i dont really like the experiments thing, its just off, maybe its me, but i dont know, its wack.

6/10 because it has potential, i like the artstyle, the way everything feels and looks, even the characters seem nice, but it just falls extremely short due to the lack of freedom and weird forced pacing.

And mind you, this is a project that i feel will be elongated forever, my guy has 300 patreons with a minimun donation of 15 dollars... He is making over 5000 dollars a month, this will never be finished, mark my words. Drip feeding, and its a game where the render quality is good, but just the posing, while the style is nice, the resolution and how everything is made, suggest over 10 minutes of work per animation/pose and less than 30 seconds of render time on the low resolution, so time/hardware is not an excuse for the updates.

UPDATED THE RATING TO 4/10, i dont see this game ever being completed and it already has serious issues and by the way, dont trust reviews, the game so far has literally no branching or ways to do stuff, its linear as hell.

Dev suffers from overambitious project but the building blocks are there, from character personalities and models to numerous branching paths and choices.
This is definitely a occasion where some simplicity would benefit the game, giving it 5/5 on basis of this having so much potential

Mechanically really good but is extremely clunky and can be a bit boring with rambling characters but has a lot of potential when it comes to its mechanics so I probably would’ve given it 2 or 3 stars.

But it drops down even below that is because of the offensive nature of the content.
At the start of the game you can set your age to be atleast 21 which is fine. But then you meet your 13 year old sister who you can be a creep to. I tried to avoid all of that content but game is in your face with it trying to hook you up at every opportunity, if not her then her same aged friend. I’m not sure how this is still up but the creator has lied that everyone in this story are 18+

Overly ambitious.
The story has too many characters and narratives to be realistically fleshed out in a single game.
In desperate need of proofreading and QA in general.
The English translation is inconsistent and there are strange jumps and repetitions in the dialogue.

There's a really good idea used as the foundation for this game. Which is sadly squandered if this is the level of polish the reboot has to offer.

I don't want to write here about minor flaws or small bugs that are fixable. I'd rather write about what's really important in this game.
TwoSides attracts you from the first minutes with its engaging storyline. While it may not be the most dynamic experience, this characteristic is what makes it so appealing. The game possesses a certain magnetism that keeps you invested. Just like in real life, the expectation of pleasure while communicating with a girl and courting her makes the final reward even more enjoyable.
However, it is crucial that the final payoff does not take too long to arrive. This principle applies equally to relationships and, for instance, the final release of any game. If the wait is excessively prolonged, there is a risk of losing interest in what was once a burning desire.
But I am sure that TwoSides is a game where patience is rewarded. That is why I look forward to each new update.
I sincerely hope the developer maintains a steady yet dedicated pace, ensuring that players ultimately receive a high-quality final product.

amazing game. I cant comment on the rewrites as I only played this version but its one of the best games I have played lately.
I replayed it 5times now and discovered new scenes each time,
I hope the developer keeps concentrating on adding new content. I will go support it for sure if this keeps up. More sister stuff please!

If I could give a 4.5, I would, but alas, due to the site limitations, I can't. I don't think I have saw everything that the game has to offer due to personal tastes, but I really liked what I saw. There were some minor bugs ( such as repeating scenes ), but nothing that gravely impacted gameplay, they're the reason I won't give the full rating, but I believe they're easily fixable. I saw that this is the third full attempt by the dev at making this game, hopefully they can get past the 0.3 versions wall.

Situations are nice and thought out, i really like the game.

But it has one big flaw it's really overly ambitious with too many characters and story threads that lead no where because there are so much of them it will take a decade to flesh them all out.

The scope is just too big, it feels like 2/3 games all pushed into one. Don't get me wrong most of the story threads i find interesting but the sheer amount of time it's going to take to flesh those out is just not reasonable.

This also shows in the current game ,a lot of options are there they just aren't made so you can't select them. I really dislike this you are moving past choices and the story moves on, and if you keep saves you probably won't see those choices.

so tl/dr: ambitious game that seems too ambitious.

Interesting game. I like the like and dislike mechanics. The models while all looking distinct from one another are pretty basic. Most of the time its fine but a few look pretty bad. The dialogue while ok isn't too engaging or interesting to read, Sad to see yet another game with black women I have to totally avoid because I'm beyond sick of interracial in every single game personally. The sounds all seem pretty low quality along with being stupidly loud besides the phone ring which is somehow hd and sounds like its in my actual house. The one song you hear most of the game loops badly.

The biggest issue, besides the whole white mc/black ppl thing, is the stupid amounts of canonically underage characters in this game. I get it we play fast and loose with age in the nsfw realm but come on. The mc sister is underage, her friend has to be as well, you have their friends, along with both of his aunts maid's children who are both even younger than the mc's sister.

I will admit up front that I didn't get particularly far into TwoSides before closing the game and deciding not to return. The introductory scenes set up an interesting plot, with characters that seem to have some character and hint in the direction of having interesting stories.

Then I hit the wall. TwoSides has a stat system that tracks your relationships with different characters on different axes. Points are gained through selecting the right dialog choices, some of which are gated behind which specific skill(s) you have decided to invest in.

All fine and normal for this kind of game until I hit the first interactions in the game where these stats are checked. Both times the "good" branch was gated behind having got an effectively perfect score selecting the right options in advance. There wasn't even a consolation branch for getting close, it was just "Did you not read the developer's mind and anticipate exactly what combination of stats was going to be required of you to progress with this character? Sorry, you lose."

At this point the intended gameplay of TwoSides became clear: the developer wants you to be repeatedly backtracking through scenes to get precisely the right mix of points (once the game has later revealed what that mix is), probably having to maintain half a dozen different save games as the choices become more complex, and this just isn't fun.

However much potential there is in a game's art, story, and characters, if progressing through them is gated behind tedious gameplay, it's not a good game.

I'd say it's pretty hard to be a global review of the game so far (0.035 Fix 2 - Which is around the end of Day 3) but I'll try my best.

TwoSides Reboot Remaster Remake Enhanced IMAX Edition™️ is an interesting game that let you a lot of options on how you interact with the world around you, even if you're just at day 3 and you still haven't figured out how or why you're not using a rape drug but somehow can use a heavy dose of copium on a random girl and be able to fuck her and cheat on her "friend-with-benefit"... Right.

Okay maybe it's not as original as it would seems because the dad is dead and every girl in town can't stop thinking about your dick ; but the world ! The world building is very satisfying ! I wish we could take some more time to visit places we already have instead of moving around from places to places (but it's probably because the game is still at day 3)

The renders are somewhat good, it's definitely unique in a good way, the dev probably wanted to make it unique with the help of a shader and indeed it does make a good appeal, though it might look as if DAZ and HoneySelect had a baby. You can also count on the good usage of sound effects (although I'd say put some background music on the beach when approaching the bar, and some background generic music when watching a movie like in The Sims)

The main downside is the content that is protected by stat checks, so you have to use cheats to see most of the content, and sometimes you have to "rewind time" (fancy name for save before any choice and load after) to see everything.

The lack of walkthrough removes a star from my rating because it is very, very painful to check every option of the menu to see a variation of content.

Keep going dev, but please no more remake.

That's a really good one!

The story is interesting and promising.
The gameplay is satisfying.
Characters and interactions feel very realistic and immersive.
You have REAL options that affect the behaviour of characters as well as the scenes you get and how they work out.
Dialogs are interesting, no need to skip unlike in many other games (textspeed/transitions could be a little bit faster though).
Cheatmode and hint-system for the dialogs are integrated per default - very comfortable, best practice!
The UI and the free-roaming is well executed.
Since it's an relative early state there are not much scenes (for me) so far, but what's already there is good stuff
The models are lovely and the art-style is pleasant.
Nothing here is bad - everything is good.

The only downside is the reasonable doubt, that the sheer amount of different options is to complex in the end - and leads to an abandoned game. I hope that won't happen.

There are couple of games on this site that allow so many REAL choices. People and interactions look more real than usual. I really like the idea that not every single girl is mine so getting actual sex scene it feels so much better and immersive.
I hope this time game will be finished.

I enjoyed what I played, the variety in the content was a standout in comparable games. The characters were good, found myself getting annoyed by a butler in question. Looking forward to more content, the overall game length was a tad short as of this release.

That is a very intersting continuation of the story from 2018. New catchy graphics and visuals, new ideas! There are some bugs and inconvinience, though the community is very active and caring. I hope it will not be abandoned like the old releases. Catchy and aspiring!

I love this game, without a doubt one of the best I've ever played, the story is very good. The characters are charismatic, each with their own personality, which offers multiple gameplay options. ((((
