LoF was a more straightforward story as well so each update was more structured and easier to follow, from what I remember anyways. Kinda the downside when you go all cliffhanger/mystery during updates. I'm hopeful that u4ia comes together more neatly as it goes on.

Also, with way more LI this go around it can feel like there's not enough screentime to get to know them more. Wind up just not caring about some that don't immediately grab your attention and keep it. Unless of course it's a fuck-fest type of game that allows you to have 47 LI to rotate through.
Let's say the true: the story of LoF was far better than u4ia.
LoF: a really good story, structured and written with love and respect.
U4IA: "LET'S MAKE MONEY NOW !!"

I'm starting a new save for the new update and maybe I'm just lost or whatever but I can't seem to unlock the beach scene with Evangeline.
It always fails because the prerequisite of talking to her on the 6th floor isn't unlocked. After *many* attempts, I can only get the ‘simple/short’ pool scene with her, but I can't get the longer pool scene or the conversation on the 6th floor.
Help would be appreciated ^^
Wasn't there a walkthrough one or 2 updates ago?
Asking because I still haven't played the "new" update, and while I read the sandbox parts have been streamlined, replaying everything from the start...

The walkthrough mod has been updated to the latest version, but its by no mean a miracle worker, its still painful to find your way thru the game has the walkthrough doesn't process the sheer insane amount of puzzling required to figure out how to make your way thru the paths and the various stuff you have to find.

Ok I have a couple of bullshit things to say, hoping no one else has already done it.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
All bullshit aside... Daddy is basically a Bond villain.
Its funny the Bond villain thing jumped to my mind too, which makes everything completely senseless, how did your mom miss the fact her husband was a sociopath madman? You don't just magically turn into someone like that without some significant factor, the road to Hell is paved with good intention, but when you basically make yourself the Devil, its clear the road was already walked from the get go. If your dad was the victim of circumstances, and just let the thirst for power get to him it would be something, but when he is at the point of being willing to kill his own kid, quite possibly his wife, and a whole bunch of people else, you passed the point where you've simply let things get to you right into the field of having been an evil scum to begin with.

Beyond that, seriously why wouldn't he had his son brought to the island without Jackie? Why did he even need him there for? If he need genetic material, guess what, a few hairs is all he need, or some blood, if they can create bioroid / replicants, they can just create a mindless drone clone of the son to enable him to access the research, if they have the technology to do that sort of stuff, why would they even need the son? They should be able to hack into whatever secret database the mom had. If the mom had made her genetic material the key to accessing her researches why didn't she take the son away and entrust him to someone else? Leaving him to the dad was basically leaving his the keys, and why does the dad still need the son? He had years to unlock those researches why does he still need to keep the son at hand? If the mom had hidden something in the ring, why leave it with the son which she had left with the dad? It shouldn't have been difficult for him to find it. How the fuck in the middle of all this crap was the MC unable to discover his family's corporation was the major employer? With just about everyone connected to it how has this bit of information failed to come up? Its enraging their is some enteresting elements to this game, namely some of the women, but everything else is pretty much garbage.

I originally thought that locking MC up in a hospital was because he was his mother's legitimate heir, so with the excuse that he wasn't capable he could continue to manage everything. But in reality, given the situation like this, it makes zero sense.

The whole thing is a clusterfuck tbh.
They need MC to discover the secrets of what his mother was working on, which the ring is a key to.

Is MC the original? If so, why is he having flashbacks of dying?
Is MC an android? If so, why is he tranquilised and not just kill-coded?

It's why I'm leaning towards him being a clone, who they allow Jackie to rescue. The androids they tried became unstable (MK.24 killing Celeste's sister), so they went the old-fashioned "accelerated clone" route. That's the only way I can explain the possibility of phantom memories.

Now I'm guessing that MK.29 is a stable variant with unlocked potential, they will attempt a return to androids and make the next MC MK.30... unless someone saves them?

Find out next time on u-4-i-a!
