First impressions (v2.0. The latest public build is 2.4 in itch.io but nothing major, end point is still end of Nov)

- Storywise, its fine. More effort could be made to introduce the characters and indicate quite clearly who youre chasing when you choose the curriculum.
- Not a fan of stat decay, especially in an unfinished game. Given how short it is (with a set deadline) the decay rarely ever matters other than annoy the shit out of its playerbase.
- There is, to my knowledge, no real H scenes thus far.
- Its not a sandbox. You dont really go around seeking characters and passing statchecks. The scenes are tied to specific stat exercises if that makes sense. You'll never meet Violet if you never study for example, instead of being able to progress her storyline only if you have sufficient knowledge stat.

The game at present is simply showing too much ambition but without the content to keep its playerbase interested in its development. I know many H games tend to start out as early access but I cant help but feel that it would be better if the game is released to public having a clear start and end, with placeholder sketches that'll be polished up in time.

In any case, at present this looks very much like something that'll only be worth playing after 5 years or so of development.

tbf, sandbox is far from required. Indeed, a non-sandbox game is usually more fun, imo. Too many sandboxes these days that spread themselves thin as hell trying to account for every possible player (which is impossible).

However, a porn game without porn or much game is just an empty program. And I've been waiting for months for this game to actually deliver on the porn aspect.

I do not think it ever will.

Perhaps I am a bit more optimistic, or perhaps I got slightly smitten by the art style, and simply wish for success, but I think the communication by the developer, in this case, is encouraging. I've noticed a trend with certain other (failed or disappeared) developers having a certain set of.... attitudes towards their own game, or towards critics, and this developer is different, insofar as to how they acknowledge and even point out how commenters currently call their game "boring" at the moment. I don't have anything to substantiate this gut feeling at the moment, as it's too early to tell, but from seeing multiple dozens of Webcomics and games implode and wither away into nothingness, I have hope for this one to be better. I will say it's definitely going to be at least a year or so before we have significant gameplay chunks to delve through. I am gonna socket this in my "check every couple months or so" folder.

Vast as an lake, deep as a puddle, sums up this game pretty well. Also absolutely 0 H-scenes from what I discovered so far, and according to other posters too so I doubt I just missed them.

Kind of bad/boring game, story could become pretty interesting though.

No no, it's not that the girl you picked will get mad, you can't fuck them because the dev hasn't added any porn to his pornographic game yet.

So I really like the game and want to enjoy it. I like how you have to figure out how to find each of the romance options. I could care less about the decay, just wished it didn't trigger if you do a class that increases that stat.

The one thing that is driving me up the damn wall is the inconsistent events. I did the test of mind almost a dozen times and it never once had a consistent replay. Like the first set of doors. The names three names door. I have gotten everywhere from a one time click of you know this. All the way to 5 times having to try the option again. I get wanting to have some kind of rng in the game. But this is infuriating.

First run where I focus on prowess (34)? I randomly get a rat spell. Have lower study (49), spellpower (31) and imagination (16) and get more constant events during the trial of mind. Only 1 door behind and can consistently get second place.

Second run where I focus study (61) imagination (15), and spellpower (46)? No rat spell, and wildly agressive ranges for the doors. To the point that I actually get bricked and cannot get past the rat door or it's counterpart. Losing the trial of mind.

It doesn't make any sense to me.

How many Harry Potter games even are there?

More than I'm aware of, less than you'd probably think.

It's a popular IP that peaked hard with like...the first big one (Witch Trainer) and ever since then there's been people trying to imitate the idea (Innocent Witches, or at least what it originally was) or people trying to go a new direction (this game or Magic Lessons). But not a lotta people wanna tackle it due to A. personal reasons related to the original author, B. personal reasons related to their reactions to the fanbase or the original IP, or C. because there's already a small handful of them out there and they don't want to saturate the market (so to speak) with more of the same IP parody.

But also like there still isn't that many Harry Potter porn parody games that are still worked on, let alone even get to the point of completion.

Has anything suggested to you that there will be any more cucking than the dev cucking us out of an actually substantial update?

Because if you see a game you like and your first thought is "I hope it doesn't involve cuckolding" man, you gotta see a shrink.
