What do you mean by "the renpy launcher disappears"? Are you playing on a Windows PC/laptop, or are you playing on a mobile device? Because on a Windows PC/laptop I don't even have a launcher, just an EXE file I need to execute to start the game, and by just placing URM into the "game" subfolder this EXE files does not just disappear. So I'm wondering what exactly are the steps you're doing to make the game's launcher go "pooof!".

Hi! Yes, I am playing on a Windows laptop. And the exe icon vanishes (again, only in like 1/3 of the games) as soon as I drop the URM file into the 'game' folder. If there is a 32-bit exe file, that disappears as well. It's really odd! I've tried to change my settings to 'show hidden files', thinking maybe it just isn't visible for some reason, but no, the button to start the game vanishes from the File Explorer.

I also play on windows laptop and the same thing happens. The antivirus quarantine's the game exe on startup. Sometimes to get around this I scan URM or the game exe first so it does not get flagged/knows it has no virus.

This has never happened to me before, that's really strange! Because any antivirus program should either delete/quarantine the game's .EXE file as soon as you unpack it and not when you put URM into the game subfolder, or should just leave it untouched forever.

What antivirus programs are you using btw? I'm using Windows Defender only, and I never had that issue with any Ren'Py game at all.

I guess this has to do with the performance of your system and implementation of AV.
Games that do not use .rpa files normally contain quite a lot of files and can take some time to extract. And that large amount of files will probably also take a while to check by the AV.

But the .exe being deleted is definitely not related to URM.

Do you have any other mods installed? Does the issue still exist without the other mod(s)?
No other mods. Game starts fine when removing URM.

Here's a quick tip for you (and everybody else who hasn't done this yet): click on your profile at the very top, then select "Preferences", and scroll down until you find "Search Options" -- and change them to "Most recent".

I've remembered a list variable and set it to notify when it changes, but the notifications don't popup even when new things are added to the list. I have the latest version, so just wondering if this is a bug or if lists just aren't supported for change notifications?

Tried to use this with Milf Plaza latest version (The steam one), and I can't seem to be able to open the menu, tried Alt+M and Shift+M and they don't both work, did the keys change overtime? Or does it not work with this game ? People in the cheat thread for this game said to use this instead of the cheat mod since it's heavily outdated

When I try using the mod for HealSlut, it works for a second then it throws me into the renpy error menu, and the rollback disables the mod in some cases but not all the time. Please find a fix for that game, too. Thanks!

If you had searched for "healslut" before posting your question, you would have found this post (long post, but towards the end there's a part about "HealSlut"), where 0x52 explains, that the developers of that game broke Ren'Py by using a reserved variable, and there's nothing he can do about that.

Please do use the search at the very top before asking about games -- the chances are high, that you're not the only one with an issue, and there might already be an answer within this thread (this also might help with searching threads). Thank you!

I saw that the mod for no background for text still works, so I thought it would be something the author can do about it.

I am currently having a weird issue with line spacing in Motherless when using custom text boxes. If there's a line break in a dialogue, there's missing some space between the text lines where characters of the 2nd line are sort of mold into the characters above:


It's not just for game text, even your mod seems to be affected:


Is this something that could be tweaked in the settings or is it too specific to this particular VN? I'd not call it severe, but it's a bit confusing while reading. Well, at least to me.
