Overview:
Reeling from a devastating yet all-too-familiar gambling loss, Esther strikes a desperate bargain with her mom for another shot at redemption. But, when luck betrays her yet again, Esther is now not only penniless, but also indebted to her own mother. How can she recover? Stranded in defeat, she retreats to the numbing comfort of porn games, clicking through banal dialogue, drowning in regret.
Then-- an anomaly.

Unique artstyle, I kind of like it. But there's hardly anything substantial here to make a fair assessment. The big downside of drawn art unfortunately.

haha yup. I wanted to get this out just to get the snowball rolling, even if it was horribly barebones, you know? Now that something's actually out there, my motivation is really high. Did this more for my own drive than anything, ik it's an absolute eyesore to look at rn lol. But work now feels like I'm getting somewhere instead of trying to perfect a proof of concept. Next update will be coming at yall fast ✌ The art absolutely isn't up to my standard either, so that's something that'll round itself into form very soon.

I think you should be careful here, they said they liked your art style, but, you immediately came back saying "sorry if it looks bad" and that you want to redo/change it... What? The criticism they offered was the amount of content, not the quality of the art style. It was actually the art style that immediately struck me as the most interesting thing about your game when I clicked on it. This looks like the kind of game where it's art style is it's biggest asset which in turn adds to it's eroticism because it's niche. If you deviate too far from that by attempting to "improve" it you may end up alienating your core potential audience... Just some food for thought.

The premise sounds interesting. I really like the art style. While you may improve while you work I hope you don't just turn it generic by looking like art you'd find anywhere. I'm just waiting for the lesbian content to start before starting.

I don't mean the style itself! I just mean stuff like the quality of the background art, for example. It's not finished, and not up to my standards. The way I draw characters isn't going anywhere, but background art in particular is still something that needs a lot of tweaking and attention

Like, this is objectively better than the stand-in I was using for this first version.

Okay, now that you've clarified that, your initial response makes a lot more sense (y)

The lighting here is so good that from a distance this looks like a stylized 3D modeled low-poly environment!

Haha funny thing is I actually hate the lighting here. I draw a lot of my artistic inspiration from pinterest and stuff like this makes me so envious

I was never innately "artistic" to begin with (story has always been more of my forte) but I at least have an eye for characters and such. Environments I might always struggle with
