Unusual game aspect ratio

has anyone seen or had this problem before?

I supose that game is made in low resolution and your desktop is set at high resolution.

Did you tried to press "Alt + Enter" to resize game to fullscreen?

Unfortunately alt enter/full screen didn't fix it. Its not just this game, multiple games that I've tried come out the same.
It hasn't always been this way, it only started a few days ago after I played Milf's Resort. not sure what i did with the settings but it changed all my games.

What is obviously a RPG maker map, in what is obviously a Ren'py viewport...

There's no problem here. It's what you get when you play a game ported by

. The CG are bigger than the map, and the game resolution resolve around what really matter, the CG size.
Note that the same happen with RPG Maker game played directly. There's many case where the map is in fact smaller than the game resolution and surrounded by black area.
