Is there a way to update the Ren'Py library in existing game i downloaded. It is too choppy. the log states Ren'Py 7.0.0.196, while latest is 7.4.11?

Is it possible ? Yes.
Would it be easy ? Well, it totally depend, and there's many changes started with the version 7.4.5 that could totally break the game if you don't correct its code.
But the real question is: why would one want to do this ?
Exception made of some versions that have some bugs, there's just absolutely nothing to gain by changing the version for which the game was made.
