The general consensus of this review section seems to be that this game has "great worldbuilding", "fleshed out story" and "clever writing".
So I read these praises, then open the game and see for myself something like "Western part of the galaxy" and immediately realize that i'm in for a cringefest.
Here we have two major factions. United alliance of free planets is a "bastion of liberty", "fights for freedom" and is depicted by a bunch of smiling faces on light-blue background. And then we have Neo-Terran confederation which is an "oligarchic" state, that rejects liberty and embraces totalitarian technocracy, slavery, exploitation and oppression, and ofc is depicted by grim looking men in uniforms on dark-red/purple background. Hmmm I wonder if United Alliance also mines everybody's "hydrocarbons" in exchange for green toilet papers... Well anyways author leaves players with no decision making as to whom to side with or sympathize, since one side of the conflict is "clearly bad". Bruh, in the prologue neo-terran fleet commander with a poker face literally ordered to execute ship commanders, if they don't defeat enemies in 5 minutes. How if this empire of "evil" is still operational with such military officers?
You play as an archbishop of the holy church from an independent planet, who's an ATHEIST and openly admits that religion is a SHAM (such "clever writing", exquisite even). What's more is that this pious institute now operates as a slave trading network that develops a brainwashing technology to turn people into slaves (how convenient of a plot point is that?).
Archbishop request an audience with the queen and she makes him WAIT IN THE LOBBY for 3 HOURS. This is no local therapist appointment, it makes no fucking sense, but is apparently needed to antagonize the women. She even greets him with "speak fast i'm a busy wuhman".
After about this point, I couldn't force-cringe myself through this god-forsaken script and just skipped to the "content". So what can I say? Visually half of sex scenes are okay, but other half feels uncanny: this includes animations, positions and camera angles. Aurally - it's a mess. Not only the choice of music is inappropriate but those sound effects are seriously unsettling.
As for gameplay, you are faced with a couple of decisions, half of which is whether to release inside or not, which isn't a deal breaker tbf.
Graphically it's grainy Honey Select with static backgrounds and occasional AI-generated illustrations, not the most pleasing to the eye but it's OK.
VN's length is fairly short so it couldn't classify as a massive waste of time, just a minuscule one.
