Overview:
In the high mountains of Velmoria, where queens reign by rite and the throne answers only to feminine essence, a lone prince must undergo a fateful transformation. As Prince Caelan reaches his 20th year, Queen Alinora invokes the ancient Empress Clause: Caelan will not pass the crown through marriage but wear it himself. To do so, he must become not only queen in title, but woman in body, mind, and spirit.
In Veil of the Heir, players shape Caelan's path through mental, magical, and political transformation. Will you embrace destiny or defy tradition?
The story follows Prince Caelan's enforced or chosen transition into Queen Caelene, determined by the player's choices.

I'd say wait a bit. It's a bit of a buggy mess without much fault tolerance if the player doesn't follow the transformation and story sequence in the proper path.

For example, if the player talks to the NPCs outside of the suggested order, it can break the entire quest chain where it will no longer progress. Also, some of the potion descriptions (e.g. legs) are incorrect, leaving the player to guess whether despite the description they'll get more feminine or more masculine legs. And it's inconsistent from state to state.

It's like the potion recipe to transform the right leg muscular masculine -> lean masculine would be correct, but the potion recipe to transform the right leg to feminine would instead make it muscular masculine again. So the player has to again transform the leg to lean, then use the alleged potion recipe that was supposed to transform the leg lean -> muscular, as that would in fact transform lean masculine -> feminine. And this can vary by right leg/left leg, and other body parts too. Completely unpredictable.

Additionally, the paperdoll doesn't align very well with its various components, and might even regress visually. For instance, the feminine face is completely out of alignment with Hair 3 & 4 and doesn't align again until the player develops the ultra feminine face.

There are numerous examples of these. There either needs to be a bit more tolerance or gameplay needs to be more prescriptive to keep the player on the right path.

just tested it myself when it came out on tfgamesite, gave myself all the necessary potions and so forth, all the potions seem to work right, but the avatar is a little buggy, and right now i think its the 3rd quest in where you have to visit the two maidens and the captain of the guard or something is where it bugs out. and cant get further.

The game is only a very early alpha. My avatar is even more buggy and the legs look penultimate at maximum values. The mission to visit the captain is also buggy or not written further. Overall, for such an early version, the game looks very promising. I hope it won't be the same useless long-term construction as Prison, and many other games on this site.

The main drawback at the moment, I see, is the absolutely inhumane restrictions on the number of actions performed. Energy runs out instantly, as soon as you enter the wrong door a couple of times along the route. At the same time, the abundance of these very doors and rooms seems to invite you to explore them one after another. If the author wanted to create a feeling of a narrow corridor for the player, then he should have made direct links to fast travel on the sidebar in the current quest description.
