Game treats character as wearing a bra, even if she chose not to wear one:

Not sure if you already saw this part of my earlier post:

Which build are you on? I specifically remember fixing those the other night for build 0.8.5

I'm an idiot and did not read through the spoiler tags. I just went through and fixed these. I also got two more similar to LeoScrolls. Thank you.

Will there be lesbian route(s)?
The short answer is, there will be f/f situations and events.

The longer answer is, I don't know about a full lesbian route. I'm trying to keep my game grounded in realism (to the extent at which any game like this can be). And I'm not sure I could pay proper respect to that relationship dynamic.

I will certainly attempt to write it. But if it comes out like trash, to the trash bin it will go.

its usually the new accounts with 0 likes that try to bait. many ppl love pubes.
Yeah cause internet points matter, got it.
My point is, complaining on a brand new game that it doesn't include your niche fetish, is maximum retarded.

OP if you read this, stay true to your cause, make the game as you imagined it, not as the people unnecessarily complaining about everything want it to be. No pubes is perfect and the overwhelming majority thinks so too.

Totally disagree. Having pubic hair suggests a bit of sexual indifference. She doesn't constantly shave / wax to look good and ready for sex. She has other priorities.

Then, as the game progresses, she develops a greater appreciation for her appearance. The other models shave. Her photographers expect her to be shaved in her first totally nude shoot.

Then, removing her pubic hair becomes a plot and character progression point. It's removal is part of the corruption / seduction of the main character.

Starting off without pubes is lame - in my opinion.

I appreciate you taking your time to provide your thoughts. I personally don’t feel like I’ve received complaints really. I appreciate all the feedback and bug reports and suggestions. They’ve helped me make the game better.

But when it comes to the pubes, the truth is, pubes were always supposed to be in the game. The code had already been written, it just wasn’t added to the script because I hadn’t drawn the art yet.

It seems like a small thing (and it was), but I had set an April 11th deadline, and pubes continued to get pushed aside for other priorities.

I used that comment as an excuse to finally implement it. It didn’t divert me from my path, it gave me a reason to step back onto it.

That being said, I don’t think it’s wrong to listen to outside input. Listening doesn’t mean I have to do it. But NOT listening means I might miss out on something great.

For a long time the name was “Off the Record”. Until I learned about the other well known adult game by the same name.

I wanted something that reflected journalism’s roots, so I started doing research. The first newspaper (of sorts) originated in Rome around 50BC or so.

They spoke Latin back then. So I started researching Latin words. At first I just wanted a catchy acronym. Then I learned the word Veritas, which means truth.

There happen to be quite a few games with Veritas in the title. So I wanted a unique, little used word to pair it with.

I chose the feminine form of “exposed,” in other words, “Exposita”.

As far as I can tell it’s technically an improper use. But I like that it means “Truth Exposed”, that the word is in a feminine form to pair with our female protagonist, and that it’s in Latin, paying homage to the beginnings of journalism.

It felt thematically right.

What are my plans for the game? Actually, I have that typed up in a post that will go live in a few days.

But I’ll give you the title to the next episode. The Beach House.
Interesting, thx for your answer and good luck! Will check it out

The thing is, "shy girl doesn't shave and then she starts to because everyone thinks they're somehow entitled to pick on her over it and "CORRUPTION"" is such overdone stereotype, it's utterly boring.

So having a game where this lazy tripe is subverted can be pretty nice.

It's one of the dumbest comment I've read.

What if, instead of telling you how to play it, I just provide the options and you decide?

If you can afford the extra work that comes with implementing variations for sprites, potential CGs and text variants, and if the MC is supposed to be more of a player's creation than define character then sure, i'm not going to complain about extra flexibility. But i'm also quite fine with the alternative, since ultimately it is your game and your call what limits you decide to impose on it.

I dont use sprites. I use a layered image. I have a single base body and features. There’s virtually no extra work involved because the first version of the system was built to handle clothing.

I added a single block for facial expressions. And then a final block for overlays for wet/suntan/sunburn/blu. This is also where pubes are embedded.

As far as character’s reacting to this in game. We’re taking about the occasional 1-2 lines of dialogue. That looks like this:

if overlay[“full_bush”]:
“Replace”
elif overlay[“small_patch”]:
“Replace”
else:
“Replace”

Because I took the time on the front end to build a flexible layered image system, and I store blocks like that in a “cheat sheet” to quickly copy and paste, it doesn’t take as much work as you’re thinking it does.

That's how all RenPy sprites are done unless the developer hates themselves, so that's what i meant by sprites -- a composite object made of parts.
No. I use a single layered image. Not composite. They are similar, but not the same.

The base body, every piece of clothing, the front and back layer of the hair, they’re all one single layered image.

I’m not limited to condition switches. Instead each image has an attribute I can call dynamically. When I add a piece of clothing, I drop it into the layered image as an attribute, put it in my helper function category dictionary, and I’m done.

I feel like we're pointlessly arguing over semantics at this point when in fact we're talking about the same thing. You have a single avatar image/object composed from layers. Each layer is a part of the final single image/object. That's what i meant by the composite -- a single sprite made up of (layered) parts (body, clothing, expressions, etc) It was a generic term, not specifically Composite object that RenPy provides.

My apologies. I got confused because Ren’py has three different sprite systems (four, if you include live 2D I suppose). Sprites, Composites, and Layered images.

I wasn’t arguing. I was simply clarifying that I was not, in fact, using Ren’py’s basic Sprite or Composite system.

Ah the great web forums on the internet. A bit of oil and its becoming a never ending bonfire. I just hope it will not exhaust OP to continue the great game idea. Maybe we all ought to take a break sometimes and go outside :D
Haters gonna hate.

Very nice so far. I like the asides showing Ali's personality. It took until partway through for me to realize I could click on red text. The prologue's the right length, and with three more chapters you should be able to build anticipation without drawing things out too much.
