VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Vertices [v0.1.7] [Peerless Depravity]

One of the few AVN's I've thoroughly enjoyed recently.

It starts us off with a "how did I get here" opener that basically lets us know the threesome is non-optional and it's okay to pursue a full harem route. A classy start that warns people of several potential deal breakers.

All the models look good, and have a decent variety of figures. Some have a vague familiarity, but I think every one is a custom, which is much appreciated. Not the highest quality renders yet, but pretty good. It definitely passes the uncanny valley, and certain shots are quite well handled.

The writing keeps a decent pace for a realistic feel that's supported by a natural level of humor among friends: no constant melodrama, but never dives into pure comedy. It provides enough of a "real feel" to let some of the common and necessary tropes slide in without devolving into pure porn-writing nonsense.

I'm having a good time, and I want more!

It's really early to give this a review, but I was so surprised by this game that I had to post something about it.

The writing is really good and the renders are solid. The girls look pretty realistic and the story seems to be pretty good as well. I will admit, there is nothing earth shattering here but it is a nice, solid little story with likable characters.

There are some issues with the renders as some of the girls faces look like the dev went overboard on the post work. Also, it is another in a series of kids starting out in college although this does seem different.

The part that really resonated with me, however, was the writing. I really enjoyed it and found myself laughing out loud at parts. I would also like to give props to the dev for their use of color. I know that seems kind of odd, but everything from makeup to font colors and fonts seems to have been well considered and I appreciate it.

Looking forward to future releases. Let's hope the dev sticks with it.

Pretty decent writing! The story is a bit contrived and far fetched at times but it's an AVN so thats to be expected. The thing that made me roll my eyes is the same thing that makes me roll my eyes in most games: the goody-goody college virgin. But in this game there are two, possibly more, but two established for sure. I know it's a thing, but the innocence and ignorance of the girls doesn't do it for me personally.
But other than that, the game is pretty good. The renders are nice. I may have read it wrong but the dark skinned girl said something about being black side ass and it surprised me because her and her families features look very middle eastern/Indian to me so I just assumed. Other than that, models are good.
I'm interested to see where it goes!

A really nice new game for the beginning. The plot is interestng, the dialogs are not bad, the girls are sweet and sexy. The relationships between the characters develop nicely. The renders could become better, but this doesn´t disturb the game so far. I am looking forward to see more updates... 5 of 5 stars from me.

I'll round up to a four, but I think the current rating of 3.5 is accurate.

The renders are getting better over time which is a good sign for a new dev. But they're angled in a way that the textbox almost always covers something interesting. The story is ok. I wouldn't say it's bland but it's not extremely ambitious either. The pacing is a little too slow to maintain interest. There're also too few renders for the amount of text you have to slog through. I also don't understand how Sharon "working out" would give her a significantly more attractive body in the mc's eyes unless she used to be overweight, which wan't addressed.

Nitpicks: we don't need recaps of the day with flashbacks... we literally just played it. Dream sex scenes are rarely effective unless you've already fucked that person because they're seen as substitutes for sex scenes. Blurred phone and tv screen is lazy. A sports bra should lift Lauren's breasts. The game goes to extraordinary lengths to not show the mc's face.

The girls are pretty cute. Even Sharon with her massive doll-eyes. Since we already know the story will play out positively for the mc, it's up to the dev to keep things interesting. I'll check back in a few updates.

Ok look, I can appreciate all the time and effort that you put into the background and the lead up and the what if and the neighbors and how they should be friends. But I just spent almost an hour READING 2 scenes. Really? You have to flash back here and there, you can't give me the ENTIRE background in one scene. It gets boring.

Great graphics and it is not a bad story, but the first 2 scenes resembles paint drying.

I will give it another shot, but I have to be to sleep in three hours and I may not make it to the 3rd scene by then.

Review of v.0.1.3.

Nice little game we have here. After the revamp it looks definitely better.
All girls are beautiful although I think both of the black ladies' bodies are a tad bit exaggerated for my taste.
But anyway, they're all sexy.

The story has a somwhat interesting premise. However, it occurred to me that if the game is apparently a flashback and our MC does end up pulling off the thruple we can play the game however we want and the outcome should always be the same, right?

The writing is OK but I found the scene with Sharon quite precipitated. It didn't convince me; I didn't believe the conversation, sorry. In my humble opinion we were to early into the game to reach such an agreement between them, especially after so many years with barely any contact.

Our choices set many different variables in the script so there's a lot of different things going on down there. Not sure if they'll all come into play later in a significant way or will just bring about minor changes in different scenes. Some of them intrigue me especially.
We'll see what happens but if they open different paths this game will have a lot or replayability, which is really cool.

Oh, I forgot. Dev, there's a lot of free music you can add to the game. Please, consider grabbing some since it always helps to create a much more believable atmosphere (if chosen properly, of course.) Maybe it's a personal thing but I've come to find soundless games rather lifeless.

Needless to say, I'll be updating the rating in due course as the game evolves. For the time being it shows a lot of promise but has still some room for improvement.

The character dialogue is well written, and the models are attractive. The overall story is a bit dull because the tension in the plot was undermined when the game started off with a scene showing future events. Still, it's good enough to keep me interested in seeing more.

There aren't many choices, but they do seem to have some minor effects already. I replayed the game making all the opposite choices that I did the first time, and found that a choice I had made before became unavailable. It wasn't anything major, but it makes me hopeful that our choices will have larger repercussions in the later stages of the game.

Story: Humorous story of a man enjoying the prime of his life with two beauties at his side. Maybe more if he plays his cards right.
Dialogue is fluid and funny with a multitude of pop culture references to boot.

Art: Posing, Composition, Models. Everything is on point in that regard.
The women look great and I am loving me some of that dark skinned Milf. Only thing I can ask for is a little better lighting and texture and these girls would be perfect. But that is based on computer specs more than anything.

Not at all a bad start.
The writing isn't bad, a bit wordy at times.
The renders aren't the best, but most of the girls look good.

I hope we actually get an option to go after more than just the two main girls, because fe. Sharon's mom or Vanessa are more attractive to me than those two (not that they are bad mind you).

Looking forward to this and if it keeps up and maybe improves over time, then I will change my rating accordingly, since I believe in rating what is actually there, not what COULD come at some point.

Pretty good start honestly. The writing is pretty decent and the models/renders are definitely above average. It's still very early on but I look forward to seeing more.

My only complaint is that it's a bit strange that we see what happens in the future regarding MC's relationships. To me, it felt like a spoiler and was added for no reason. I imagine there is a purpose to it and it has yet to be revealed but I would have preferred having everything progress naturally rather than seeing what will happen. Kind of ruins it.

Anyways, I would recommend trying this one in a couple months; there isn't much content just yet. Good luck with development.
