Promising. Generally good and I'd recommend trying it, but this review is just gonna be critique.
- Right now, what's being presented so far with the story seems pretty shallow right now. I mean, there isn't much going on yet so who knows, but what's currently available failed to keep any interest. There are games on here that lack in the art department but make up for it with writing, gameplay, etc. So I kind of expected more of a hook.
- Combat. I do enjoy this approach to combat, but it gets stale with how exploitable it is. Block to recover MP, evade or counterattack (which doesn't seem to always work properly), and throw out an attack out when you have the chance. The cycle of guarding, evading, and occasionally attacking gets stale. Why even get hit when health items are limited (although semi-plentiful)? Probably only further exaggerated by the fact I put all points into agility knowing just how easy it would be to simply be faster. To make it more tactical, don't let evade be a be-all solution to your defense.
- Yeah comparatively the art isn't great. Again, something else needs to be the hook to reel players in.
