I also struggle to understand the logic behind the three week releases. Before, Karman could come up with a few scenes involving multiple characters within the same span that Saxo was able to develop the story (4-5 weeks). Now, Saxo claims Karman can pull off the art in 3 weeks and Saxo can cook up shorter segments to accompany that; so in effect we'll have the same amount of art albeit less writing, if I understood it correctly.
Secondly, I supported this game on Patreon starting around 0.4, and idk if complacent is the right word but the communication is definitely not what it used to be and Saxo's behaviour is definitely more towards the nonchalant, at least compared to what he used to be.
This is like the fourth time he has announced a change in release pace:
First, it was once a month. Then, it was the first Friday of every month. Then, when things started taking longer and the 5-week development time started to be a thing, he scrapped the goal of achieving the one-month interval and admitted he needed to be more realistic and actually aim for 5 weeks. After that, he has sort of started missing that deadline by about a week. And now, he missed the deadline by almost a month?
I'm trying to remain optimistic because I've been following this game's development for so long but it's increasingly getting difficult to justify the shift in communication among other things. And certainly, the recent shift from when he claimed Part 2 would be out two weeks after Part 1, to stating that updates would roll out three weeks after Part 1 is released (without addressing that it went against his previous, recent, statement). I'm very concerned at this point, and his subscribers ought to be as well. If Part 2 is released in two or three weeks remains to be seen but I hope this isn't a sign that he will at week 3 say that it will be delayed.
