Regarding Update 0.16
Taking into account the recent Saxxy's limitations to properly work at the game because of some changes in his job and the need to make smaller, but faster, updates starting from this one, I can only evaluate this update as a good one.
Knowing this prior I was already expecting a small update but I got surprised while playing because it wasn't ending as soon as I was calculating. The update felt kinda big and it took me some time to finish it (reading everything properly), I didn't know we would get this much plot development.
Regarding the plot
I could argue this was the best moment so far in the Mafia Arc, an arc that's not been my favorite. Things here are clear, easy to get and interesting nonetheless, very fit of a porn game. No overcomplicated things, but with just the right amount of nuances.
The enemies to friends dynamic between MC and Geist was soooooo goooood, I think Saxxy really solved their problem in this update, and me being someone that hated Geist at first but now likes him a lot as a character is a bit of proof of that. Hope to see him get back in the story and no more sparks between him and the MC, I just don't know if he should come back as a bull too fast, but he has a lot of potential for future development.
Also I got a lot of sympathy towards Freya and I enjoyed the MC thoughts about her because it mirrored a bit what I felt too. He's a great guy and wouldn't use Freya and we have even more reasons for that now. And for everyone asking for cuckqueen stuff: stfu. That's, first, not this kinda of game and, second, a really horrible thing to do to Freya, she's in clear misery. I hope that at the end of the game she has a happy end sortaofstuff.
The plot twist at the end with Giaccomo being Jack, the beach "bull", got me jumping at the chair. It was a VERY PLEASANT surprise, so far his arc at the beach was the most exciting NTS ideas and scenes we got and I'm hoping to see him in the story again, now more than ever. Just don't make him be an asshole now that we know he's also from the mafia, maybe he's just like Amelia, an unhappy son of a mafia family just wanting to be free and live his life. He's a really good character at being a nice guy and hot! That's also the reasons why I liked him with Amelia, I'm not a big fan of bulls who borders non-con, blackmail or are too much superb. I like the sub MC but that's because the dynamic is between him (sub) and Amelia (dom), not between him and bulls.
Regarding the scenes
Being fair here, the update was heavily focused on storytelling, Saxxy has it's limitations as I've mentioned before and there wasn't really an easy way to add scenes this time. It's clear no one likes the what-ifs that much, real scenes have a lot more weight and excitment, but I think this update happened at a very unique moment of the game and it won't be the rule.
I have plenty of good expectations for the new model of updates, this was just the first and plot wise a lot better than most. During Part 2 in 3 weeks we will have a better view and, probably, better scenes to calm our earning hearts.
TL/DR: great update storywise and solved many problems with past characters and paved the way for pretty interesting things, poor circumstances sceneswise. I enjoyed reading it a lot, 8/10.
