Best NTS game hands down. Very interesting backstory, plus amazing characters. Thoroughly explores the dynamic and emotions, as well the developing relationship between the MC and his wife. I found the wife's development is just the right pace, it feels natural while exploring every doubt the couple has. There are plenty choices to drive the dynamic towards cuckoldry (humiliation/hardcore humiliation) and hotwifing (no humiliation) where you enjoy the sexual adventures alongside your wife. Very hot renders and sex SFX. Only con I can think of is the lack of animated scenes, which the developer has recently started introducing, so hopefully we get to see more of those going forward.

I started the game with great desire and pleasure, everything was well done, the jokes are fantastic, and even the facial expressions of the various characters, especially the two Me FMC are fabulous, then everything went wrong, when I noticed that the game was not an NTS, or that the developer notes are unclear, especially on the red option, I discovered that over time, FMC begins to cheat, and this has diminished interest, and I don't find this fair towards those who start a game with specifications, then these are changed on the fly for the pleasure of the usual NTR lovers and money. Sorry.

Now that is a great NTS game. Artstyle is fantastic, scenes are incredibly hot, music and sound effects just fit perfectly. I think my only recommendation would be adding few other female characters to diversify the NTS choices

Average NTS Visual novel.

The art is great, the engine is a little iffy, the story is generic, and the scenes are pretty boring.

This should be classified as a Kinetic novel, as the choices are completely mundane and are only there to gatekeep certain fetishes you might dislike.

The story, including every single CG, is not affected by choices.

Vulgar Reverie has terrific art and sound design. The drawings, animations, and dialogue make the sex scenes so hot! But as to actual netorase and the plot. It's a bit lacking, for a netorase game it feels like the husband has little control. No choice or control in who she fucks and she gets into it really quickly. Too quickly, especially with her coworker and Enzo. The pacing is really bad imo and seems NTRy too at points. Don't like that at all.

The game is on the wordy size. The graphics are stiff and there are very few of them compared to the text. The story seems standard like many other similar sharing games. I could tell though the game was well put together. If you like reading a lot, maybe try it out.

I absolutely loved this game. The characters are charming, and the story is far more engaging than I expected, it really pulls you in. The art is beautiful and fits the tone perfectly. And the situations are incredibly hot and work really well within the game’s style.
Overall, it was an experience that genuinely surprised me and left me wanting more.

Suggest the artist go solo, the plot is starting to become NTR slop since the family part.

It had potential, the incredible art style plus the Ntrs/Sharing theme was what kept people coming, but lately the author seems to have other thoughts. Would it still be Sharing instead of pure Ntr if they lost their ability to choose for themselves?

Most boring porn game I've played, nothing interesting happens here, we're just going from sex scene to sex scene with tons of pointless text in-between. The writing here is awful, there aren't too many choices here either and all in all it's one of the worst games I've ever played.

Sex scenes are depicted in an uninteresting, non-sexy way, as if we were seeing a robot being fucked. Characters are one-dimensional and are boring as the whole game is. I honestly don't understand what people see in this game. Goes on my ignore list.

Amazing art and dialogue during sex scenes. The only real problem I can find is that the scenes can feel a bit too short and there isn't enough of them. A very small problem compared to the other kinds we could be having.

Netorase is a pretty niche genre. Small crowd but the fans are loyal and will throw money at you if the product actually delivers. And in a swamp full of low effort cashgrab WEGs, Vulgar Reverie at least stands out with legit hand-drawn art which is also pretty good. That alone should’ve been a homerun for it, but it’s not…

First of all, VR is primarily advertised as a NETORASE vn. Since it’s been out for a while, let’s look at the meat of an erotic game: the sex scenes. If you go inside the folder \Vulgar Reverie V0.x\game\images\scenes, you’ll notice there are currently 22 H-scenes labeled by the developer himself as of V15. Out of these 22, only 10 of them are NTS, and the rest of them are vanilla stuff, which has better art and is somehow more detailed. So what about the limited number of NTS scenes then? Are they good?

Well, to start it off, they all follow the same repetitive formula. No intimacy, barely any foreplay, just “stick it in and done,” with dialogue consisting of screaming cliché terms like “FUCK” and “THAT FEELS GOOD” a couple of times. As for the sex itself, think of the most sterile and sanitized form of sex possible with must-have safeguards. Even vanilla games feel kinkier. The heroine’s reactions during the sex with the bulls don’t help either, they feel like she’s acting uncomfortably instead of enjoying any of it. It’s fine for the first time but makes everything feel superficial if that’s the case EVERY SINGLE TIME. One example would be the recent scene in v14, while Amelia is riding the bull, she says the name of our MC in the middle of it when her partner has no idea who the name she called out for is, not only is it a total disconnect with the actual scene, it also completely kills off the vibe. At this point, the bulls might as well be literal dildos, nothing would change.

That said, the teasing is pretty hot and more on the lengthy side, doing a solid job at building hype for the upcoming scenario. But this just makes the disappointment worse when the scenes don’t match up to the hype. It feels like waiting for a climax that doesn’t exist.

For some reason every single bull after the vacation arc turns into a douche, treating Amelia like a cliché cheating wife with zero respect. Understandable since she never tells them the real reason as to why she’s with them, making the sharing aspect underwhelming. It also makes the MC look pathetic, since he’s “sharing” without the bulls even knowing he’s consenting to it. And to make up for that the actual sex gets heavily watered down and we get way more vanilla scenes with protagonist than the content this game was marketed for to make sure the audience never feels like they’re getting NTR’d. This is where the game starts overcompensating and kills off the authenticity of the whole setting.

I’ll start with a recent example. In v15, our heroine confronts the MC while tearing up about the fact she had sex with a stranger, so they have a lengthy talk about it for some reason EVEN THOUGH she has done much worse with other bulls before and we’re already pretty deep into the story. Like…… what? Also the current arc is setting up our MC to seduce the mother of Amelia for some reason? What was the main genre of this game again? We’ve reached a point where the fetish is largely taking the backseat. If I wanted vanilla, I would rather play Majikoi for the 10th time. I don’t play a netorase game to see the heroine have sex with the MC most of the time.

There’s a reason why 99% of NTS games vastly reduce the sex scenes with protagonist compared to the NTS scenes after the sharing starts, mainly because they’re just very boring. Don’t get me wrong, there still needs to be some safety net so the audience don’t feel like the heroine is forgetting about our MC, you can make it interesting by incorporating these into group sex, off-screen sex, handjob with teasing, and occasional lovey-dovey sex in special cases without sacrificing the core fetish of the game. You don’t need reclamation sex each time a stranger bumped with your wife. It’s just funny to me they put so much effort into these scenes when the main aspect of the game still needs to be vastly improved upon.

The word I’d use to describe the writing is “stagnant.” Everything keeps repeating itself, the dialogue, the story beats, the sex scenes, all of it. This becomes more prevalent after the vacation arc. Structure of the game for each arc goes like this,

Teasing/build-up (50%) + NTS H-scenes (15%) + vanilla/reclamation scenes (35%).

You can always predict exactly what’s going to happen next because the status quo is fixed. Their fetish never grows past the first step either despite plenty of baiting to hook the playerbase so they don’t leave. In case you’re waiting for the natural escalation, don’t bother as you’ll just get blueballed for the umpteenth time.

Whole point of “netorase” is the immoral thrill of sharing your partner, with all the excitement and surprises that come with it while having complete trust that she only loves you no matter what. It’s a purely physical thing that allows you to reach for bolder heights. If we always have to run through a long set of checklist to clear any sorts of doubts, then there’s simply no room for any thrills. Maybe the couple isn’t even really into it.

So far, Amelia picks all the partners and the MC just goes along with it. The story would feel fresh if the MC proposed partners to surprise Amelia and encouraged her to try more hardcore stuff. That would make the relationship dynamic feel more balanced instead of Amelia controlling everything.

Look, I’m not asking for high literature, I know WEG storylines are bottom of the barrel anyway, but somehow this game still managed to sink lower than that bar since it has no clear vision of what it wants to be.

Now on to the crux of the matter, the dev himself clearly isn’t comfortable with this genre. His Patreon posts scream insecurity. Every now and then he reminds fans, “Don’t worry, there will be no NTR in this,” or “She doesn’t mean any of it.” Except anyone who actually read the description and knows the genre already understands what to expect. If you’re that scared of upsetting even a fraction of people every update, why are you making a game in this genre?

At the end of the day, this isn’t a game for actual netorase fans who want steamy kinky sex. It’s for hardcore vanilla fans who came for the art, don’t like NTS but pretend to, skip most of the bull scenes, can’t enjoy anything without self-inserting and only watch the scenes with the protagonist. Most of the scenes are vanilla anyway.

Final thoughts? This is hands down the softest and most aimless take on “NTS” I’ve ever seen in an erotic media that advertises itself as “NETORASE.” A game constantly fighting against its own genre while pretending to embrace it.

Love the art, the heroine is sexy.

Dislike the writing for reasons I can't quite pin down. The fluency is fine, but the narrative seems rote and the characterization of specifically the MC doesn't click with me. The overall characterization is well done, possibly too well in his case. He's believably somebody I'd want to shove to the side to nail his wife myself as well.

Porn's as enjoyable as the rest of the art.

Early on the tutorial says the red options are 'rare' but I swear they are the most common. Perhaps my irritation comes from so much art and effort going into a mooncalf daydreaming shit that supposedly doesn't happen and doesn't matter: makes the Get To The Fucking Point -> tattoo on my peen stand out.

TLDR: Lovely for those who habitually ignore cucks anyway.

I've been following this game since the 0.03 release and I have to say that it holds up pretty well to this day. The art is gorgeous, Karmanseph really does have talent. I think that the NTS story is really good. Many people have different feelings about this, but I found the story to be still surprising to me. You can still feel the tension when the new events are happening, especially when Ammie teases us non-stop. We can really feel the NTS. In my opinion, this is one of the best NTS/cuckold adult visual novels out there. Saxonado was the first dev that I supported and he really deserves it. I really recommend giving this VN a try if you're into NTS and cuckold content of course.

Vulgar Reverie was something I’d heard a lot of praise for back in 2024, and at the time it made sense. The game was in early development, and those earlier parts were its strongest phase. The build-up to the NTS elements was excellent, and the art is fantastic.

The problem? The actual sex scenes. They’re terrible, easily some of the worst I’ve seen in H games. The lead-up to the first NTS scene with Jack was great, but when the actual sex part came, it was so painfully generic and boring that I clicked through it and forgot about it by the next day. At the time I didn’t fully realize why I felt that way.

Well the later arcs made it obvious. The new partners were pure walking tropes with no personality, and the same formula repeated, solid teasing leading to bad scenes. It feels like the author’s only reference for writing sex scenes was the dialogue in porn videos. I would suggest the developer to read some good Japanese NTS VNs, or heck even NTS manga will do if you want to improve your H scenes. Either way, these arcs were clearly worse because at least Geist and Jack felt like actual characters, these new ones don’t.

The game’s scenes are split roughly 60/40 between vanilla and NTS, by far the most vanilla content I’ve seen in an NTS title. I like vanilla scenes, but when they all feel the same, it’s just wasted CGs and effort that could have gone toward better NTS content. Despite having plenty of story progression, the sex scenes barely escalate at all, same “SAFE” setup every time, condoms, no kissing, no spicier content like anal, raw sex, rimming, creampie, gangbang, etc. Kinda funny because there is an early choice that asks about group sex which leads to nowhere.

It seems like the developers are so afraid to push things that in January 2025, well into the story, they actually ran a Patreon poll asking if kissing was okay. The result was unsurprisingly an overwhelmingly yes. I'm pretty sure for most people who know how NTS works, it's a no-brainer answer. The fact that they need to run a poll to determine such an obvious point says a lot about how timid their approach is. If they’re this hesitant about escalation, they might as well start making vanilla H games instead.

I also find it comedic how often the protagonist and heroine repeat how much they love each other, almost feels like ChatGPT hallucinating, overcompensating to convince themselves. They need to reassure themselves so much that it ends up feeling like they lack mutual understanding and don’t fully trust each other. Or the devs are breaking the fourth wall by projecting their insecurities onto the long-lost vanilla fans who stumbled upon this game and get angry about a NTS game having NTS elements.

My suggestion towards the developers: instead of including no-name randoms with zero personalities as partners, make them have actual personality like Geist and Jack. Even the MC’s colleagues or Amelia’s students and family servants would fit better into the worldbuilding. Imagine Amelia disciplining a delinquent student through sex to “fix” his attitude. If you can’t write sex scenes well, at least add spicier content. So far, all the sex scenes play out exactly the same way every time, similar dull dialogue about how much bigger the dick is compared to her husband, the same boring condom-on sex with arbitrary restrictions on acts like cunnilingus, kissing and other basic intimacy. There is very little variance in the sexual acts.

V14 was a pleasant surprise, at least trying something different with how they deal with rival factions. Freya targeting the MC could be interesting, but this looks like it could turn into a harem plot instead of opening up more NTS opportunities.

Overall, barely a 2.5/5. The early parts were strong enough to make me subscribe to their Patreon, but the longer it goes, the more it becomes a mediocre H game that wastes its setting’s potential. What we have here is a classic situation where the dev is trying to appease both the vanilla and NTS fans to maximize his profits. So it's stuck in a limbo where it will never truly satisfy either of them enough to make them pay up. Certain NTS AI-CG game, which released way later than VR, is catching up to the Patreon revenue of VR simply because the author knows his audience and properly caters to them. As a result, it's growing at a faster rate than VR, which has kinda stagnated.

I've seen some people claim that VR is the best NTS game currently out there. How they’ve reached this conclusion is genuinely beyond me, unless their exposure to this genre has been limited to low-effort 3D, AI-slop WEGs. Maybe my expectations are high after reading so many untranslated Japanese VNs covering a broad range of genres.

This is a tough one for me to rate a 3 because the quality is undeniably top tier. The art is fantastic, the game design is solid, and I haven’t run into any bugs. The UI and settings are all well done. The girl is absolutely gorgeous.

But for some reason, I find myself struggling to stay invested. I can’t quite put my finger on it, because on paper, everything should work for me. I think it comes down to a few things. The stakes never really feel present. There’s no real tension or sense of risk, and I always feel like I know exactly what’s going to happen. It’s predictable. On top of that, the writing is just so wordy. It doesn’t feel like real people working through something emotional or messy. It feels like characters in a script being used to carefully explain every emotion, thought, and boundary so nothing is misunderstood. That kind of over-explaining can really kill the moment. Even the sex scenes start to feel sterile because of how precise and self-aware the dialogue is. Instead of pulling me in, it pushes me out.

To be clear, this is a good game. The quality is absolutely there. I still download it now and then. But I often find myself getting bored or burnt out, skipping through the story instead of staying engaged. Even the sex scenes are hard to get into.

If you're into NTR, especially Netorase, it's still worth checking out. You might not run into the same issues I did. If it clicks for you, the quality is there to make it a great experience. It just didn’t fully land for me.

• Tension and writing here is perfect. Sounds like it might have been reworked at one point based on older reviews, but I think it's fantastic as of v0.14. It's really the most important thing to nail in this genre and I think it's great. I know people want animations, but to me, the thing that makes a scene hot is the tension and building, which we have here in droves.
• I only played the green route, and am turning all optional content on, but Amelia's progression as she gets more and more confident is just so perfect.
• There's a realistic chemistry to the characters and their relationship that just adds so much. I literally had to pause and take a second because I was getting so excited when

Can't wait to see where this goes next. Seems pretty obvious that we're heading for some harder femdom based on the cliffhanger. I know the dev has said this will always remain pure NTS (which I am totally good with), but I'm really hoping that as this develops we get to explore some dirtier, darker kinks. My wishlist:

Amazing game, I'm loving it alot! I've seen people complaining about the new update and I also agree with it if you went the strong route and don't like being humiliated because throughout the current update, all you're doing is being humiliated XD. I went with the humiliation route so it fits well in my playthrough and I enjoyed it but if you're someone who would prefer the "strong" route, then just keep in mind that as of the current update, there are times where you aren't very "strong", and I think the dev should find ways for the more dominant players to still be able to enjoy the newest update. I know that'll be difficult as meeting a mafia family as a "strong" character won't go down too well, but there are ways I'm sure, that people could think of that will fit into the story and still be enjoyable for the people following that route (an idea I just thought of is that, with Enzo, Ammie could look to you to kinda ask your permission to go and have sex with him and the player could nod or shake their head and if the player shook his head, Ammie would come up with some excuse or something and promise him more later to still push him to accept the deal with the idea of still being able to have her (still up to the player if he does have sex with her later) albeit at a later date. Like I said, I'm following the humiliation path so I'm the last person to ask about ideas for a strong path, but I think the more dominant players would appreaciate that or at least something like that). Besides that, the game is really damn good and is one of my favourite NTS games. Ammie is hot, caring, sweet and does everything for you and is always thinking of you, the writing is done really well and does well to set up the mood it's going for (serious, funny, teasing etc) and the scenes are done really damn well and look amazing. Overall an amazing NTS game! Much love! <3

Amazing game so far, art is 10/10 and devs seem to have a vision they want to follow with some advice from the community sometimes. It's currently getting to a point where Amelia and MC don't have to reassure each constantly to fuck other guys so I'm looking forward to more of this game

ART: It is amazing, the main female character Amiee is such a bomb. the slides are clean and use good lighting.
Dialogues: personally I love the dialogues, Amiee seems like she is a master of teasing, she looks so beautiful and pervert while teasing the M.C .

can't wait to see where the story goes. hopefully the author explores a wide range of activities.

I wanted to love this one because the art is phenomenal and the UI is clean, but everything else drags it down a lot.

The prose and the writing in general is just so... wordy. It doesn't feel like real people exploring their relationship, it feels like this sterilized concept of people exploring their relationship put to text on a screen, where the developer has to describe exactly what every character is thinking or feeling at any given moment in order make sure the audience understands what is happening next and is completely satisfied with the excessively clear communication of current boundaries and fetishes. In a way, it makes the story feel way more bland and vanilla than the actual content would justify.

The "dirty talk" in sex scenes, for example, is so absurdly wordy and precise with each line's intent, that it feels like Chat GPT wrote it:

"Oh yes you're another man who isn't my husband and you're fucking me right now, oh yes I'm going to describe in excruciating detail what exactly is happening to me right now so that my husband can get a big boner, oh yes please cum inside me but actually cum in this condom because we haven't progressed to that part of the story yet! Are you getting all of this, audience? Do you understand exactly what's happening?"

It just goes on and on like this. It's so boring.

The art is so damn good but I can't recommend this game in good conscience when the writing just completely sabotages it. Zero subtext and zero room for interpretation or critical thinking; the dev already did all of that for you! How nice of them...

P.S. Brandon is literally a non-character, just a walking trope that borderlines on straight-up racism. If you want to add BBC fetish play to your game (already a bit questionable but whatever), there are certainly much less offensive ways of doing so.
