A solution posted in the game thread is to go through the scene first without the mod installed, and then reinstall it afterward

Just like you said, you should uninstall the mod, get past the looping scene, save your progress, and then reinstall the mod afterwards

You may have an old version installed, try redownloading the mod. Had the same problem, I even had to remove all mod files before because it didn't replace game/scripts.rpyc (I don't know why, beats me).
Once it's properly installed, the message will be "Jhon's mod installed 0.2.1".

I have the latest version of the mod v0.2.1. So far I installed it by overwriting. I tried your way. I removed the mod manually and placed it in the "game" folder again. Nothing helped. Unfortunately.
Uh... WT in pdf always works.

You can modify lines 57412 and 57426 of the file script.rpy in your "game" folder from "jump d30_beach_yuki_piertalk_com3" to "jump d30_beach_yuki_piertalk_com3_jump" and relaunch the game to fix it. Otherwise here is a corrected version of the file.
