RPGM - Warlock and Boobs [v0.504.0.1] [boobsgames]

I have just tried this game and it is full of bad game design.

* Huge grind with only +1 affections.
* Everything will two-shot you if you are unlucky or do 0 damage for 10 turns if you are lucky.
* You can lose to an enemy than immediately get attacked by the same enemy again, before even moving a tile.
* When interacting with objects enemies keep moving, so they will form a queue behind you and you will have to fight 3 battles in a row.
* Enemies respawn as soon as they will your screen. Pressed down arrow once? Now you have to beat 131 slimes you have just defeated again.
* Even the most basic enemy can stun you, it only serves to prolong the fight and make it frustrating because they don't actually hit hard enough to kill you.
* WTF with you need to fap 15 times quest? Why is it such a grind and why do I have to watch a guy jerking off 15 times?
* No easy way to pass time.
* If you want to see basic UI stuff like relationship points and hunger, you need to cast a spell every time.
* No gallery

Very good artwork and story, but hate the grind and some quests, most do not understand. I understand that there is a piece of RPG, but still) just want to see more gay and futunari content. Waiting for more updates <3

Love the art style its just amazing, interesting story and works exelent with rpgmaker and dont see this game being good as it is as an renpy game or similar.
Looking forward to see where the story goes.
so far like most the characters in the story and as i say before the art on the girls one if not the best i seen in cartoon style very close to behind the dune art style.

Pros -
Some good sex poses and writing.
The character art is good.
Has some of my favorite fetishes. ( Milf, Lactation, and Futa )

Meh -
Most if not all of the woman are just the same body type.
The enemy are just annoying to get around.

Cons -
Money is a grind to get.
Quests can be sometimes vague and need a walkthrough to get by.
Their's a gay filter which is great but it also filter outs futa stuff too which I like, So I have to switch it on and off through some of the game.
Chickens.

TLDR - It's a fine game

The game is too grindy and not in a good way. If we needed to gain affection in different interaction then that would be ok, but it's the same thing over and over again and only feels like a waste of time. There's fun to be had with the game but only for those who are patient enough to go through.

Edit: With the recent updates and changes the game looks more promising, but I don't expect it to get completed anytime soon.

Great game and fun to play. The reason it is fun is because you get to explore a cute little town with some real hotties I kid you not. The art is AMAZING! The combat is smooth not to grindy and doesn't take forever to kill the enemies. I also really like what he did with the forest where it's not a giant open space but, a direct easy to understand forest. Very nice.

This game has something for everyone. Some people don't like the gay content , but it just go to show you what type of person the creator is. He wants everyone to have a slice of the pie. Whether you dont like some parts of the game or not at least you can show some respect to the creator for trying to be a people pleaser. So thank you Creator.

Straight to the point, I highly recommend this game!

It's simply fun. The mechanics are clean and the art is beautiful.

Pros:
- There's a changing 7 day system with day/ night cycle
- REPEATABLE scenes!!! Such amazing art deserves no less
- Likeable, incredibly sexy characters
- Fun quests with an up to date, clear and easy to read log!

Cons:
- A little slow at times, a little grindy
- No exp from battles (this makes the game very fun as you cant over level) but it adds to the grind. The way to get exp sometimes seems a little RNG based and slow

I cant wait for more. Truly a great game. Check it out!

warlock and boobs is a fantastic game, art is awesome, game has a food mechanic which is not tedious, battles could be toned down a notch meaning 3 4 battles less here and there would do the trick.

When you lose its not game over but you see an h scene,which is a big plus and also when you win you also get an hscene which is awesome!

quests need to add more info on what to do. Really enjoyed this game,if you havent played it do it now

Right off the bat I must say, the games artstyle is brilliant. Each character has a nice look and personality to match. The story is fairly standard but does the job at providing an interesting motivation to continue with the game. I am current playing this game at version v0.332 and have found the amount of content rather surprising for its version with more to come in the future of course.

While this game does have a lot of positives, a few flaws I ran into while playing that will most likely be fixed by the time the games ready for full release are.

The food mechanic. I found it tedious at times and often got in the way of whoever I was trying to bone, as it made me take time away from them. Saying this, the game does give a lot of time for you to get your food meter up, although I found once it dropped below halfway, it was rather painful to try and raise it to max again.

The expierence feature is intersting and did take me awhile to adjust to, basically the game rewards exp for finishing missions and quests rather then grinding, this is a nice feature although in the current version of the game it does make the story a little linear as some fights can be painful without the proper expierence meaning you have to follow a certain path through the story rather then doing quests in the order you prefer.

Overall these cons aren't dealbreakers and ones that I don't think everyone will find as big of an issue as I did. this games easily a 4 star atm and if it stays on track could even be 5 stars by the time its released.

What i can say about Warlock and Boobs [v0.332] .

So far a nice history (basic but nothing horrible) , great characters, the drawing of every single one is beautiful, the game have filters (if you don't like Gilf or gay content), the dev is realy nice, always replying to people in his patreon, have custom music (realy nice change of rpg maker music) , the game require some grinding, but nothing that you lost all the time doing, and so far, every version of the game is compatible, so don't require you to start over and over.

Spent several hour playing this game and wasting precious time that I needed for some assignments, but overall I am happy I played it b/c this was an excellent game, though some of the scenes that you work so hard to unlock are a little underwhelming for a few of the girls at this point (i.e. bj or titfucks), but I'm sure more content will be added for those characters later and there are plenty of other girls w more content.

Love this game as a RPG the art is good and all but I wish there were more skills & gear added to make the battle system more interesting plus we need to sink our gold into something.
Can't wait for more updates I really want to keep playing this.

The are is beautiful! The combat system/exp system is a little weird but I like how there is no real "game over" state. Sometimes you are rewarded for loosing a battle - which is refreshing. P.S. that tran is fucking hot. I hope there is a blowjob scene with her in the future.

Really Really great art, Good amount of content to indulge between the different characters, something for almost everybody kink wise. more characters besides the ones you see here. Overall a solid game you can dig in to.

One of the best artists doing online art right now, the game is just on its first steps but you can get quite a good look at it and has like 1or 2 hours of content. A bit grindy at first can be bypassed using an editor with potions that increase your stats.
Has futa and gay content if you like that kind of content but can be switched off if you dont.
It has a sense of dificulty and hiddent triggers that reminds me of old games. Support the artist on PAetreon if you like his game!

I like it alot pretty slow though with all the grinding but that is fine by me. Wish that it was a bit easier to know what to do because some times I wont read every single line pointed out. Also grinding levels is kinda bullshit since certain enemies are too strong.

Great game, potential to be legendary

The best art I've seen in a RPGM game by far.

The characters are good and likeable, who cares if they're a little tropey and easy in a porn game , and the MC isn't a loser/ whiny bitch.
Scenarios are kinky , world building is neat(I love that tittyfucking and BJs are customary even among nuns) and the dialog is really hot and tickles many kinks of mine.


Gameplay is pretty straightforward with nice scenarios and secrets(kinda like a zelda game. Big map though I wish there was more ways to teleport around it.

Leveling relationships doesn't feel super grindy because you can level them multiple times throughout the day, and there's a cheat room if you're lazy.

Plenty of content with tons of room for more and Boobgames is very consistent with monthly updates.

Various body types and kinks ,including gilf,bbw,shortacks,preggo, but mostly big titty bimbos .


Better controls will probably come so my only complaints are the combat system could be, and probably will be, in future updates, less rng in regards to attacks missing and more exciting in general. Also the rng with triggering certain scenarios. No real story so far, still one of the best hentai games I've ever played.

2020: Boobgames has tried to improve the controls a bit, and it's helped. still I wish the run speed was faster

An awesome game with stunning Artwork and great potential. The characters are likeable and to figure out the little hidden bits in their daily routine is really enjoyable. Building up relation is also cool but there should be more possibilities, like gifts to lessen the feel of grinding.

But I like the world and the story and, as already mentioned, the art which really is amazing. I'm really looking forward to the next update.

The good:
- Artwork. Or, rather, fucking ARTWORK! Sure, it may be YMMV in terms of theme and style, but quality is top notch and it's all custom made for this game by the looks of it.
- Writing. Because, sadly, we live in a world where not once feeling the urge to slam my palm into my face and unsee the last few lines or even paragraphs is a notable merit for a title rather than a given.
- Map design. In that there is a reasonable amount of that involved, rather than bashing a bunch of assets together and calling it done. Maps actually look like a decent representation of a possible real terrain.

The bad:
- Atrocious combat system, in that it forces the PC into as many encounters as possible due to mobs guarding narrow passages and their obnoxious PC tracking behaviour (I've had a slime trail after me across half the forest map), while the encounters themselves force player to make as many clicks as possible, there's no choices for player to make (the only thing you can do is spam a single single target ability no matter what), and PC's magic has flat miss chance built into it instead of scaling with stats. Which means that you can still miss several times during even an easy encounter (the highest I got was 5 misses vs 3 one-shot slimes) and get screwed over hard, seeing how outside of boss fights combat largely revolves around HP attrition rate over multiple encounters (i.e. do you have enough HP and HP recovery to make it to quest objective and back or is your day wasted for reasons). So what I'm saying here is, cheat yourself HP potions, Mana and MAtk and don't bother.
- Lust scarcity. Events are gated by PC lust, yet means of gaining lust without paying disproportionate amount of in-game time are either limited outright or cost gold.

Kind of a boring game, but I might as well go through the motions to explain why. I'll start with the good, because there's not much of that.

The artwork is pretty good, and there's a somewhat complex day/night cycle. That's about it.

While the hand drawn work is praise worthy, you will almost never see it. Most of the sex scenes are done through pixel animations, which aren't bad, but the game is set to its standard zoom, so there's not much to appreciate. The "game" also isn't customized in ANY way.

In other words, there's no standard options menu that usually comes with RPG Maker, and your forced to use the outdated movement system using the arrow keys, since you can't change the controls. Instead of the options menu, you press F1 and get a pop up windows box that let's you turn things off. This disappointment is most noticeable with the sounds, as the game is very loud, but your only options are to deal with it or turn it off completely. For a game with this many patches, it's sort of a weird thing to ignore.

The aforementioned day/night cycle is neat, but as far as I can tell, there is no way to advance time, other than losing a fight and dealing with the lengthy scene after, or by walking around outside the town for like five minutes to advance time ONE segment. Combine this with the fact that the game runs at like 10 frames per second on fullscreen with a gaming PC, and you quickly have a frustrating experience.

Also, during the couple hours I played, I could not for the life of me figure out how to start the story, if any exists. There appears to be smaller stories, bound to the various characters you come across, but the only one I could really start is with the friend Erik. Although, it's pretty obvious where that relationship will probably go, so I didn't advance it very far.

There are battles in the game, but they are kind of tedious. The only real attack you start with is Fire Arrow, which makes short work of slimes, but barely helps elsewhere. Based on the screenshots of the game, you can learn other things, but winning battles doesn't earn you experience. Instead, you get a "chance" of getting items from the monsters to sell, except that the drop chance is absurdly low, and the items seem to sell poorly. Training with Erik granted me 2 XP, so there's probably other ways to earn it through quests, but considering my next level required 50 XP, I didn't feel compelled to try.

I gave the game a second star because the artwork truly is good, but I didn't care for the rest of the game. If the customization options were there and the game didn't run so slowly for me (obviously poorly coded), I would have put more effort in. Based on some posts in this thread, some people seem to enjoy the game, but with how cryptic and slow everything was, I couldn't.

Normally I keep a massive folder of older games on my larger drive, even if I don't plan on playing them again, but this time around, I actually deleted the game. That alone kind of explains how disappointed I was. I'm no stranger to old school grindfest RPG's, but this just not worth wasting time on, only to see barely visible pixelated erotic scenes.

There are worse games out there, but if you look at the screenshots for it on this thread, you've basically already seen everything the game has to offer.
