Review of the version 0.327.1
- Story, scenes and characters: 6/10. Tolerable. It's a fantasy world, so the story admits almost everything, really easy to write that way. Quests are the classic "go from point A to point B, fight some monsters, see a sexual scene with a monster girl, get some random magic object, and return"
. Actually, the most interesting part of the game is the sandbox. The characters of the village are really good (even if the graphic design of the bodies of some of the females is so weird, and I'm not talking about "futas", and even if right now their personalities are just a couple of cliches for every character and there is no deep and complexity in their stories at all
) and it's funny to interact with them and get the scenes. I would prefer more content with the characters of the village - to know them better, to have more options to interact with them
- and less quests with monster-girls and demons
- Art: 8/10. Very Good. Kind of a mix of styles between Disney and manga
But... There are only a few drawings in this stage of the development. The scenes only have one or two drawings usually, and a lot of them, not even that, just some text (too short, there are not even good and kinky sexual descriptions
) and a small pixelated animation. The game needs a way bigger amount of drawings and way better text to be good
Also, the faces of the characters are great
, but some of the bodies are terrible. I think that plastic surgery for bizarre pornstars with silicone implants bigger than heads and a medieval world are not a good mix
You can draw monster girls with ridiculously ulta-over-exaggerated breast in slim frames if you want, but women should have a more realistic design, as the girl that takes a shower under the waterfall in the morings
For example, the design of the bodies of the nun, Alice, Fina and her daughter are too weird to be sexy
For some reason, it seems the dev has put more attention and realism in the bodies of both boys in the game, the MC and Eric.
- Playability: 1/10. Terrible. The old RPGM engine is awful in 2018.
You can't even use the mouse. Most of the time you don't know what you have to do without a walkthrough. The worst part are the hidden scenes that only happen in a moment of the week if certain conditions are met, so you have to visit all the places every day every moment of the day with the hope of seeing something new. It's like living into "Groundhog Day".
The system of getting money/experience is so slow and unbalanced the playing without cheats is a pain in the ass. The combat system (as happens with all RPGM games) is totally pointless. Thank god RPGMakerSaveEdit exists. Without it, I would have never played a game so grindy. The sensation of being wasting a lot of time in pointless tasks while playing this game is terrible.
- Futa/gay content: A NO-NO for most of the people, including myself. But since the drawings are cartoons, it doesn't cause me physical repulsion, as happens with that kind of content in games with 3D images or a more realistic art. Also, you can disable the images of that kind of content, so that kind of content shouldn't stop people to play this game.
The dev doesn't have a Patreon page, he distributes the game for free
and only asks for tips
, so we can't ask the same level of quality and contents as a Patreon game. I assume that the game is just a hobby for the dev. But if he's thinking in opening a Patreon account and asking for real money, the game should be improved A LOT. The art is a good starting point because catches the attention of the player, but it's necessary something more to make people spend several hours of their lives with a game.
