Well as much as I would have loved to give this a 5 I simply can't do that for a couple of reasons.

All the good actions are restricted by this point or that point that you apparently do not have and apparently can't earn either. Rather pissy if you ask me and defeats the whole desire to keep playing. In fact I quit right after the entire rescue mission and the whole giant spiders and tentacle monster cultist shebang.

Way more story here than sex scenes and you don't actually get real sex until way late in the story as it is. The scenes are so far apart there is absolutely no way to fap to it.

Hmmm. Dune and Skyrim feels to the game are here. Tales of a sandworm and giant cave spiders. Weak but still I can accept it as it was presented in a decent way. Not something I am knocking a point over anyway.

I hope there is an improvement to this in the future. That point lockout just really ruins it for me in a big way. Could have had sex but are now locked to just a blowjob due to points you don't have and can't earn. Hmmm? Perhaps its something you get by being a patreon supporter only?

I don't even know where to start when mentioning the problems with this game, so here a few:
    Lack of choice
    fake choices
    dislikeable mc
    stupid mc
many forced and unnecessary sex scenes
    stupid hidden stats

    and the good parts are:
    it looks good
the start after you get to play as the real mc
    a couple likeable characters

this game is just a huge wasted potential

So I've played through the latest version of this game and I gots ta say, Desert Stalker this game is not. The story is passable, the animations and models look really terrific, but little things eat away at me.

In the first section in your house, your daughter is wearing the most pornified outfit of all time, but is embarrassed about being "naked" in front of him. Sure, whatever you say. (She's also a bit too happy about the MC making moves on her, but that's just my personal preference I realize.)

There's the fact that certain decisions are "locked" behind a hidden score, so you have to be playing the game a certain way to get the responses you want. So instead of saving those responses for when they're dramatically important, you have to be a jerk to everyone around you if you want the most "dominant" options. That's never been my style, and potentially makes the MC rather one dimensional.

There's the whole fakeout protag thing, that shit really ticked me off, and I just randomly clicked the screen while not looking at it until I played as the real character.

Also, as an aside, the password for the Eyes Wide Shut cult is "The rising sun". But it shouldn't be that specific, any variation of "sun" should work as the answer.

I probably won't be joining you all on the rest of this journey. Good effort from the devs, but I think I'll find a better use of my time.

    Writing & dialogue
With some awkward phrasing in the first chapter, it's evident that this isn't written by a native English speaker. However, the grammar improves as the chapters progress - AI? Editor? Or just improved English? I don't know! But despite the improved grammar, the dialogue remains stilted and the characters all speak with the same voice / tone.

By around chapter three, there are some parts of the story that railroad the player into particular choices, typically incestuous or violent. For the character I was playing, they were abruptly out of place. I don't feel this is a good direction for the gameplay.

    Character models
    Everyone's good looking.

    Sex scenes
Occasional, sometimes memorable. Hot outfits and a bit of nudity (though I feel framing could better exploit the nudity. Too often it seems like things are unintentionally or needlessly censored.).

    Gameplay
VN. Choices, quick-time events, minigames, collectibles, occasional free roam.

    Cute girls
Truly a game (Choices impact the game till now at least, plus quick time gameplay elements quick time events and roaming minimal, not obtuse to the story)
    Interesting premise and quick flow
    Good promise

Alot of teasing, but no sex (That barely anal doesn't count)
Voice volume is intertwined with sound, thus muting the "Voice" option does absolutly nothing.
Constant use of sounds is annoying tbh, same laugh everywhere and ugh, dunno, why? At least you do make the effort to use it well, but still, i feel sometimes you limit the writing potential just to fit a voice effect
    Queen is mid, sadly
"Through the earpiece", oh really? Almost got mistaken after the fourth time, thanks for clarifying
FUCKING PUZZLE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT ISN'T "SUN", it's such a weird take, plus saying something is missing i went with sunlight, the sun. Honestly, would never guess "the rising sun".

    Wasteland Guardians [v0.3]
    Overall - 7/10
Don't recommend currently - too early in development, but has potential
Classic dystopian game with LIs, just needs more content.
    Story - 6/10
Dystopian setting - some places normal forestry and some desert, but live in a compound
you MMC soldier has to relearn how to live in a compound doing various things as a soldier
Linear story some choices - its alright
    Render - 8/10
    Sound - 7/10

    No bgm
    Has good SFX
    Hscenes - n.a
Low amount - has some softcore scenes, no actual sex scenes
    Playability- 7/10
    Simple VN with sometimes sandbox
    Sandbox is easy to navigate
Choices exist - idk if theres gonna be a karmic system
QTE + minigames - can be skipped, QTE is annoying since multiple keys, annoying riddle thing

Played v0.3 – rather linear visual novel with a male mc in a post apocalyptic world. Seems to have been inspired by a certain other game, but sadly not as interesting. Also seems to be pretty incest focused with the mc lusting after his daughter and a “stepsister” and a “stepmother” about to be introduced.
Has a bunch of skip-able minigames and qicktime events.
Personally I found it rather boring. Also only has a handful of sex scenes – pretty short and nothing really interesting. The story also seems to be all over the place.
I tried it for the male domination tag – meh – there’s one light spanking scene with the daughter and a choking scene with one other character. There are also some scenes with some light domination (blowjob, sex) but nothing interesting.
Maybe try it in a few years again, but as of right now, it’s not worth it.

Very happy to see a game full of the potential to rival desert stalker and it has already surpassed the Hot Sand of Antarcica which is now already an abandoned work.

Based on an post-apocalytic world, it is inevitable to compare it with games of same background. The game has strong advantage in its humorous narrative. It also always matches the right sounds with the scenes, including moaning sounds of female characters, which are very, very rare in visual novels in general. The modeling of female characters also demonstrate first-class aesthetics. Though some are against incest, and it is sure such goofing around with MC's daughter will last until they make vaginal sex (it always means it is close to the end of the game development), I am still delighted to witness and experience the developing of their retionship - approximating and breaking taboos.

Still, I feel obliged to say that it makes players feel confused starting the game with female perspective. This may have an impact later in the plot, but it just makes not much sense so far. A male-dominating story like this usually only attracts particular kinds of players.

    Version 0.3

It starts off pretty well. You do need to sit through an FMC sequence, but you eventually get to the MMC. The minigames can be skipped (which I did because why are there still minigames in AVNs) but the choices seem to matter... at first.

The story was interesting enough to keep my attention. I don't like all of the info-dump "ask this person a series of questions" parts which really do come up too frequently. The MC is middle-aged and has a daughter who is an LI. Cool - liked that. There are choices to give in or resist... a lot of those choices, actually. If it's not your thing, it's going to remind you that the option is there... a lot.

Somewhere around when the MC meets Rose, the story just kind of shits itself. The MC, who has been smart and reasonable up to this point, starts making the dumbest decisions he possibly could in any situation. There are also a couple of forced lewd scenes that I didn't want any part of. I have URM going, so it didn't seem to be on account of my previous choices/stats... I just don't get it. It was going well, then it just took a turn off of a cliff.

I didn't care about the FMC beginning, and honestly, if I continue this game (which is undecided at this point) I don't think I'd choose to pursue her, if even given the choice anymore (choices seem to be a luxury we can't afford in the later part of what I've played.

If you're thinking about playing this... give it more time to cook and hopefully it gets back on track and the MC finds the brain he seems to have left behind at some point...

AVN had the potential to be a good game, but alas... And it's not even about QTEs and riddles - the plot is weak and the further you go, the worse it gets. Random events, little connected with each other, intrigue on the level of kindergarten, contrived mystery.

And the characters are something else. Firstly, they are incredibly stupid and not logical. Secondly, many of them are just plain crazy, and not just a little bit, but totally crazy. And it would be better if they were some raiders, but no - these are members of the most sane and successful community. It is amazing HOW this community still functions with such members, especially those occupying the highest places in the hierarchy.

MC is a miracle - he is the best, he can do everything, he is the strongest, the cleverest (which is not so difficult), his opinion is decisive for everyone, including the queen, he is the only one who can stop the attack of the raiders. A Mary Sue in a nutshell.

All of these attributes (queen, raiders, community, intrigue, etc.) are shamelessly lifted from other successful AVNs (post-apocalyptic and a few others) and duct-taped to this one. And the funny thing is, if it were a parody of post-apocalyptic games, it might work. But alas, there's not much humour in it. Yes, there are a few funny moments, but otherwise all these ridiculous things are presented in all seriousness. It's a disaster...

There's another problem - there's not enough porn. And what there is is of poor quality. There is a daughter here, but everything is limited to innocent pranks. It's funny that the setting and the daughter herself seem to encourage hot sex, but the MC, who in other circumstances is ready to fuck anything that moves, is left out here.

Other than that - the art is good, not bad composition, nice background, interesting setting and idea. That's about it.

good renders, decent story and dialogue, which is rare for an 'alpha male game' to not have cringe dialogue, mechanics aren't great but choices seem to matter at least a little

dev is tracking decisions and reputation in game, so it's promising

seems like the games gotten some sub par reviews due to mentally ill people being so upset they played as a girl for all of 3 minutes at the beginning of the game

I really like the father-daughter relationship in this game; it develops properly and makes a lot of sense within the context the game provides.

Additionally, the female character designs are very well done. The story is fairly average—it reminds me a lot of Desert Stalker.

I look forward to seeing more of the development of such a seductive family relationship

Going into this game, I was immediately disappointed to find that the protagonist was female, which was not indicated in the tags or description. That was a letdown from the outset, and it certainly didn’t start things off on the right foot. When you go into a game expecting one thing and get something else, it can be frustrating, and that initial frustration made it harder to engage with the story.

That being said, from the little I experienced, the world itself seemed well thought out. The setting had depth, with a level of detail that suggested the developers put real effort into crafting an immersive environment. The lore and atmosphere were intriguing, and there were moments that hinted at a larger, interconnected story waiting to unfold. However, since my enthusiasm was already diminished from the character choice, I found it difficult to fully appreciate what the game was offering.

Perhaps for someone who isn’t bothered by playing as a female protagonist in a sexualised visual novel, this could be a worthwhile experience. But for me, the lack of transparency about this key detail soured the experience right away. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one didn’t start on the right note.

This game has a LOT of work to do before I'll call it good.

The writing is inconsistent and all over the place. The MC is incredibly oblivious for someone who supposedly has lasted in the wastes on his own for years, not even mentioning the obvious plot holes, bad grammar and sentence structure. You can tell an amateur wrote this: who walks into a pitch black tunnel without at least asking for a torch?

Decently pretty, but the dev is going to need to step it up in the writing if this one is going to last

So far so good, strong contender for a high quality novel. Was a bit worried at the start and thought I downloaded a wrong VN as it started with Female Protag, even went back and double checked lol. Just some small feedback that's my personal opinion.

Good writing, good premise, has a lot of foundations being built upon for how early it is. So far all interactions seem pretty smooth. A little extra flair with QTE's and minigames which arent necessarily needed but they're fine if its the vision of the author. Would prefer to scrap them just to not add additional work load and slow down future releases as they're just a bit of a gimmick and very simple.

Even the free roam sections could probably be scrapped in all honesty. (started disliking them as I played more novels to be honest, too many do it and again its just kind of a gimmick. most games usually have weird sequence breaks when they do this where you find something out earlier than intended, or somethings referenced out of place, or lastly you just straight up miss things because you do a wrong order. I have experienced that so often lol.. But particularly to this novel there isn't a lot of exploring, or doing much during these segments that couldn't just be done in a series rather than clicking a few people. Similarly with collectibles, could just appear in backgrounds during parts as well.)

I really look forward to future releases, only putting it as a 4 as theres just not much content yet. Could easily be shifted in future releases! Will likely give a way more in-depth review later on but for now its all I really got.

Ah actually upon reading other reviews.
It seems like the older versions had some troubles in the prior reviews, current release (v0.2) seemed perfectly fine to me. FMC is temporary and seems to have training of some kind. Until she bumps into the real MC who is basically a legend and pretty strong. Theres some gimmicks at the start that seemed to be just more silly like dodging grenades, wasn't a real indicator of which way to go (just roll back and your golden if you mess it up). Writing seemed totally fine too, outside maybe Chloe being a little too free spirited in an apocalypse but I feel like you kind of "shape her" over time with how you handle her in each event.

Very interesting story and good render

I haven't play AVN for story for a long time but when I found this AVN and give it a try

It gave me Mad Max vibe and I really like it and I hope the Dev continue this work and I haven't review on this site for a long time and I not see a lot of vote here so here I am

If you wanna find something to enjoy just give this one a try.

I loved it... i think its a great VN so far, and it has the potential to be one of the best dystopian VN.
Visuals are amazing and the soundtrack quite good
The story and the world building is very good far too
I liked MC and i liked that we can mold him with our choices (and the daughter too)
I also Loved the daugther and she is gonna be my Main Li, but i liked the other possible LIs too ...
if its harem im gonna add Zoe Valorie and Selene too.
Moroever i had to thank the dev that the fetishes are optional (thankfully we dont have forced lesbian content here like most of other VNs)
Finally i Highly recommend it and i enjoyed it a lot so far,
i bookmarked it and i cant wait for the next chapter.

5 stars as motivation. the plot seems well cared for and detailed, unlike many other games. Finally a father-daughter game, I've been waiting for it so long. the characters are beautiful and I hope with all my heart that this game can be completed and not abandoned. Please continue and don't give up. You can do a really good job with this game. Good luck Sensei

0.2 is much better than the first release.
It has a male MC and his "D" roaming the wasteland. the visuals are great,
and it has some good potential.

the weird QTE's are stupid, and it adds nothing other than annoyance.

and the free roam is unnessesary.

this game shines when it just tells a story. And let you make a choice here and there

edit, i have to change my rating the game is not getting better
