However, I don't want to hide AI from my feed, i believe there are still creative engaging ways to use AI, which is why I don't like the option of blacklisting a tag. What i rather, is a separate category, like Games, Comics, Assets etc, so you can always switch to AI n see what's going on there. what yall think?
No.
Once we have a separate category for one style, type, genre, whatever.... Everyone would call for the same for their pet peeve because they "don't want to hide [it] from" their feed.
There is a tag for a reason. Just use it. It's not a lot of work to do for you to not see (or to see) what you want.
With the huge influx of AI art games I feel it's cluttering the updates
right now there are 20,995 games listed on F95. 931 have the ai cg tag.
15 March 2023 to 14 Mar 2024 new games listed on F95:
3,491 total
297 ai cg tagged
8.5%
15 Mar 2024 to present new games listed on F95:
3,989 total
563 ai cg tagged
14.1%
That is a definite increase of percentage, but it is still early to say whether the increase will continue or it levels off. The tool is new and novel. It may continue to increase or it may settle around 15%, or it may decrease as the novelty wears off.
As for latest updates:
On the latest updates 3,087 games have been updated in the last 90 days. 383 of them have ai cg as a tag, 12.4%. In the last 30 days, 1385 games updated, 185 with ai cg tag, 13.3%.
So, as of now, it's floating around 13%. On a default page of 30 games in latest updates - maybe 4 per page, on average, would be tagged ai cg while browsing the first 50 to 100 latest update pages.
Is 1 in 8 on the latest updates a huge influx?
Sure, when you consider almost no one was exposed to ai cg before March 2023.
Questionable, if you look at the overall picture of the games.
