With the huge influx of AI art games I feel it's cluttering the updates due to it's easier art output than modelled/drawn art

However, I don't want to hide AI from my feed, i believe there are still creative engaging ways to use AI, which is why I don't like the option of blacklisting a tag. What i rather, is a separate category, like Games, Comics, Assets etc, so you can always switch to AI n see what's going on there. what yall think?

And as always that is what the Latest Updates page comes in with it filter capabilties:
https://f95zone.to/sam/latest_alpha/#/cat=games/page=1/notags=2265

by blacklist i meant, filter out

With the huge amount of "We may need a separate category for x" or "The zone must do something against the flood of x" we need to have a separate subforum for this kind of post.
with the huge amount of replies that love shutting down a possible issue we may need a separate forum for that, idk maybe some like https://f95zone.to/forums/features-request.13/ . hmm i wonder why OP didnt use this instead. probably because he's opening the concern for General Discussion before he requests anything that wouldn't need a separate subforum

We already have AI and non-AI.
there's gonna b an AI bloat and all you're gonna have is a tag feature. using tags isn't for casual browsing imo. it's when u want to find something, advanced searching. it also doesn't save your tag customisation. LU is bloated with AI in Games, plain. the minimal approach isn't always the best, i.e. tags filter, but perhaps if more people complain on it, it may see a dif light.
the fact that u hav links customised for each, is a good alternative, i.e. have bookmarks set on browser - but it's a scrappy method

So, what's the alternative havionmg ai games as a catergory beside games? What about insert any style/tag/idea of game/comics/animation/asset/mods can they also have their own category?
Eg. AI have 931 games tagged with, furry has 1171, urination 1237. So what about them?! Who decide which tag gets a ceategory and which not?

Also more people complaining?
I've seen 19 page of threads doing a quick search for the "AI" in the title in General Discussions and Side Feedback subforum. So even if all of them are complain threads that is "only" 380 threads in a website with 230 919 threads or 0.165 % of all threads might be AI complain threads. No AI thread in the 100 most view threads nor most replied threads. (The bar at the end of the page if you scroll down on the main page)

Thus, I don't see that as a big issue. I see it more like a SEP.

in time we'll see if it remains the same. as someone who frequently uses LU, i notice a shift. this forum site is older than, AI games are new. so much already in the short time.
if it isn't an issue rn np, just my issue

I see it more like a SEP.
wat's dat

Seeing your signature, I'm curious why the new AI cg games are nearly all about netorase?
Netorase phone is the current gold rush. People who make cheap/easy games flock to what they perceive is the next easy money. While I am not against AI as a tool I also believe that the vast majority of current ai is low effort.

No.
Once we have a separate category for one style, type, genre, whatever.... Everyone would call for the same for their pet peeve because they "don't want to hide [it] from" their feed.

There is a tag for a reason. Just use it. It's not a lot of work to do for you to not see (or to see) what you want.
With the huge influx of AI art games I feel it's cluttering the updates
right now there are 20,995 games listed on F95. 931 have the ai cg tag.

15 March 2023 to 14 Mar 2024 new games listed on F95:
3,491 total
297 ai cg tagged
8.5%

15 Mar 2024 to present new games listed on F95:
3,989 total
563 ai cg tagged
14.1%

That is a definite increase of percentage, but it is still early to say whether the increase will continue or it levels off. The tool is new and novel. It may continue to increase or it may settle around 15%, or it may decrease as the novelty wears off.

As for latest updates:
On the latest updates 3,087 games have been updated in the last 90 days. 383 of them have ai cg as a tag, 12.4%. In the last 30 days, 1385 games updated, 185 with ai cg tag, 13.3%.

So, as of now, it's floating around 13%. On a default page of 30 games in latest updates - maybe 4 per page, on average, would be tagged ai cg while browsing the first 50 to 100 latest update pages.

Is 1 in 8 on the latest updates a huge influx?
Sure, when you consider almost no one was exposed to ai cg before March 2023.
Questionable, if you look at the overall picture of the games.

so what if everyone calls for the same thing? it's about lookin at the issue risen and seeing if there is a case. u did that. with all those numbers. and u concluded it's too early to tell.

the tag feature for this matter isn't resolving the issue. My problem, if everyone disagrees

The tag feature is the perfect resolution.

Include it, if you want to see it.
Exclude it, if you don't.

This is a YOU problem.

I said:

That has nothing to do with it needing a separate subforum. It has to do with your claim that it is a huge influx... Which I also addressed:

Even if it were to continue, ai cg does not need a separate sub forum. Tags are exactly the tools needed. We don't need 100 sub forums, one for each tag. That bloats the database. That makes the site more convoluted and less user friendly.
