Webp is an image file already.
If your image viewer has no support for it you probably can even open them with your browser.
Otherwise download an image viewer that supports webp.

supports WebP files, off the top of my head. I'm sure there's plenty of others.

I'll never understand why Windows refuses to have their native viewer open WebP files.

Can anyone help me how to open games that have been coded as webp files like this game for example

You shouldn't need to do anything to play Ren'Py games using webp images, Ren'Py has native support for that image format?

To integrate webp image support in Windows as a whole, install the Google . Then explorer & the built in image viewers etc. should be able to display them. No idea about other operating systems.

Pretty sure OP is decompiling Ren'py games (probably for the renders.), which were obviously converted to that format by the dev. Windows (or rather, it's Photos app) doesn't natively open WebP files, which was probably what led to this post.
