Yes, I know some people don't give a shit because they can get stuff for free here and so that's all they think anyone should be interested in. I'd much prefer devs to be able to continue making their games though, otherwise you'd have nothing to get for free in the first place.

Don't you understand that when the game is leaked as soon as it's released, it robs the developer of income that they could get from folks who will pay for an early access? Without giving the dev at least a few days to earn some of that potential income before the games goes public, you are removing some of the reward that the dev would get for their hard work. That always runs the risk that the dev will no longer find the effort worthwhile and we lose another great game.
Piracy is a weapon & tool for the free folk of the internet to use against malicious practices by large corporations, not to steal from people that quickly release their work for free anyway.
Then don't be surprised when games will get abandonned because of lack of support lol.

you are basically saying....why pay for it when you can get it for free ! In return ... I'll say why develop it for FREE !
Ah yes. Developer needs so much of that exposure one week prior to free release in which case he'll get +/- the same amount of exposure to people plus lose a few potential subs because "why pay when it's for free".
I believe that is a bug in the code, I noticed it, too.
