Hey,

While looking for fantasy style clothing to use as bor for this game I have just started, I came across this that has almost 1500 games in it with links to assets ripped from the game itself.

I have looked through some of the fantasy games ones I know and have found some games with good usable assets, but I would like to have some options. I'm mostly looking for the bit more sexualised mage/sorcerer/priest outfits for reasons.

Games I have checked out:
  • BG3; Have some good assets but they are kinda unusable by how they are made. Most of the clothing ones are folded for some reason.
  • Dark souls/Elding Ring; Mostly armour, not a lot of caster outfits
  • Xenoblades; A bit to modern looking
  • Black Desort Online; Most assets dont import well. But from just googling the game this is more the style i'm looking for.
  • Monster Hunter; Most sets are a bit to specific/weird.
  • Final Fantasy 16; Maybe some good assets, but nothing is indexed so its a bit of a pain to find most of it.
  • Dragon Dogma 2; The one with the most potential. The models aren't indexed but the couple i have checked where full armour sets.
Anyone got any suggestions of ones I should check out? Preferable some modern ones with better quality assets used.

I can't give any suggestions, sorry. I mostly play stuff like Factorio or coop shooters when it comes to non adult-games.

What I am more interested in is how you are so confident in being able to use assets from these random games - either you are very experienced and skilled at using 3D software and interchange formats, or you are not aware that it is absolutely not possible to simply drop a random 3d mesh of a clothing item into e.g. Daz and have it "just work".

I don't use DAZ for starters, and I'm decently experienced in using Blender. The handful of games I have checked out on that list had their assets in FBX, which is easy to import to any 3D software.

And most of the clothing/character assets are in a base pose (T-pose or very similar to DAZ standard pose) and are often rigged as well. It's fairly easy to just allign the clothing decently with your character, and use the grab tool in sculpt mode to make it fit your character figure.

After that you can remove the Rig it came with and or bind individual pieces to specific bones of the DAZ character (for parts that shouldn't stretch like armour) or transfer the weight painting from your chracter to the clothing, and bind it to the DAZ armature.

That said it does require often a bit of fine tuning when posing compared to just using DAZ clothing.

I was commenting in case you were a noob who did not understand how that sort of stuff fit together, but it does seem that you know plenty about this stuff. Best of luck in your quest, pilgrim. Please ignore me and carry on!
