What are some of the more common ways to block access to the console and/or variables in Ren'py?

What are some of the more common ways to block access to the console and/or variables in Ren'py? What would I search for in the source, if I wanted to allow it?

Renpy has a config class with a variable to enable/disable console, just set it to true config.console = True

In annex a file that does that for you if you drop it inside the /game folder.
