So, everyone knows about the top games here, that have many thousands of posts, and legions of fans. But what about the underrated games here? That have something about them that appeals to you, that are not well known or popular.

What is your favorite game that you think is very underrated?

Mine are highly-rated within their niche communities, but one thing or another holds them back in terms of gaining player interest. Most likely Honey Select, being text-only and looking like yet another rapey JRPG at first glance, respectively.

iNSight of you for being one of the best maledom games and trainers I've played, and also one of the funniest.
Corrupted Saviors for the gameplay, player-driven corruption aspect and replayability.
Star Knightess Aura for the corruption aspect (with the caveat that you have to be into/not mind the mind-control premise, and not expect much sex yet). Also the gameplay is solid if you like JRPGs.

I've played a lot of porn games. This dev has the best writing skills I've seen. It's still pretty early in development so the overall scenario planning and delivery might not be apparent just yet, but I think the set up is pretty masterful so far. In terms of the prose and wordsmithing, it stands above anything else I've seen.

Hack n' Stalk 2.0 It's like the dev handcrafted games that no one will ever attempt to replicate. You could see the quirks in his methods, but the result was very polished overall. It feels like he would continue to make more deeply storied games with mechanics that would continue to surprise people if he got more attention. In the right conditions, I think he could create something that became the #1 game easily.

Also, the admittedly grindy, Russian games (that are often done in QSP engine) like Son of a Bitch or Second Happiness have become hidden gems if you missed them.

Straitened Times is a bit underrated imo. Lots of characters, a setup that allows interesting developments, and a decent amount of world-building. I do wish the dev would flesh out more of the teased features like MILF modeling, but it's pretty good even in a very crowded field of young mc incest harem games.

Well most the games that are popular are popular because they get attention via the development cycle.
Each time they update they are pushed to the top of the list again for people to see.
Games that are complete and people weren't able to see the development cycle don't get that benefit.
So the only way you hear or see them is if you go look for them or someone happens to make a thread or post were such games are listed.

The point is there are a lot of underrated games. Which is the most under rated would take a lot of work and time to play all those games.

Well, I finally got around to playing Corporate Culture.

Amazing piece of writing. Corporate setting. Amazing depth to all the characters and interactions. Great character growth on the MC. This is probably the first time in any piece of media where I agree with the character when they put a girl on a pedestal. Not particularly because Alice is so amazing, but because of the framing and presentation of her character in his eyes. We are as much in the dark about her as the MC. The small interactions with her show that she is really nice and obviously beautiful, but you can bet your ass that it's not the whole picture. Her faults coming to light and how that conflict's with MC's tinted view of her will probably be a great arc in the future. Everyone is multifaceted, even Lucy's predictable personality has layers to it. Elsa is super mysterious and has that calm and commanding aura. The dev makes such a great use of subtle details in mannerisms, actions, and dialogues to give hints to someone's character.

The sex scenes are fire! Very well crafted scenes with great build up and sex dialogues.

It's really sad that this game has only like $300/month. Welcome to the club I guess. Anything that doesn't follow the safe formula of stroking the player's ego in whatever way is bound to have an uphill battle. I fucking hate femdom, but when strong female characters are written this well and not just in a fetishized porny way, I can totally get behind it. Some people are so afraid of their self insert MC "losing" in any shape or form.

Lots of great examples, thanks. Maybe instead of "most underrated" I should have said "very underrated".

A few that I've found that are criminally underrated in my opinion, are Back Home, which has an interesting premise, you are trapped in a foreign country, trying to get back home, and you meet lots of interesting and sexy characters.

In For a Penny, is another example. The game is crazy but it works. The renders can be pretty rough, compared to triple A VNs here, and the proportions of the women are laughable, but that is part of the point. You are trapped on a spaceship, brought back to life millions of years in the future for the enjoyment of godlike future beings. The story is crazy, and keeps getting crazier, but has lots of laugh out loud moments, as long as you don't take it too seriously. Highly recommended you try it.

I can't fail to mention Dreams of Reality. It's supremely underrated game, but ultimately great in my opinion. It has a quite tragic start, which was very shocking as a player, and is heartbreaking at times for much of the story, but the story is quite immersive, and the characters seem quite real. It will make you feel alot for the characters, and the choices of the MC, have a large impact on the direction of the story. My kind of story, but it isn't a lighthearted romp, to be sure. An amazing effort, really.

Sorceror is also surprisingly good. A normal guy with a shady courier business, encounters a cute woman being attacked by magic users on his property, saves her, and after finding he has latent magic abilities himself, finds himself integrated, with some difficulty, into a whole other magical world that is mostly hidden. Quite a few sexy, and not-so sexy (skippable) characters, depending on your preferences. But it is quite fun to see what strange things will happen next. Demons, gorgons (like Medusa), trolls, and lots of other surprising characters make an appearance.

One last I'll mention for now is Food Truck Story. A young man opens up a food truck, and meets lots of sexy co-eds in the nearby college. Not the most original story, but all the students are very sexy, and it will be fun to see how the story progresses.

I also wanted to suggest this game, but you were first. I found her last summer (it was v0.2) and loved her. Mysterious characters, great writing and beautiful renders. That "remembering scene" is strong. Really underrated game that deserves more support.
