As the thread name suggests, which adult games do you very much like even though they are not as good as some of your top rated games according to your own standards? You can also include games you like that are more or less generally hated.

There are already several threads dealing with hated VN/Games, so there is no point in repeating that stuff again...

And usually if I don't think a VN/Game is good, there is really no reason to keep playing/reading it, until either it improves or does a complete re-vamp that is far better then the original... While not falling back into the same trappings that made it not good in the first place... Liking a VN/Game that is not good, sounds counter intuitive... Almost sounds like an oxymoron... Because if you think it isn't any good, then how is it then likeable? Unless your somehow into self-flagellation, metaphorically speaking...

One can equally love The Return of the King(LOTR) and Independence Day but even he will admit one movie is objectively better than the other(will vary from person to person).People like many things in life which they can't rationalize through known metrics.

Agreed, it can be highly complex from one person to the other... You can have varying degrees of like and/or dislike...

But the question in the original post was fairly extreme to one side or the other... To say something is "not good" suggests it has no redeeming qualities in the eye of the beholder, and therefore there is nothing to like about it... If you want to be more vague, instead the thread creator might say "not as good as it could be" or "not completely good" which then allows for variation in levels of good and/or bad, and could allow for someone to "sort of like it" or "like some parts of it"... But the thread creator's use of "not good" is very finite and total...

I don't want to get into a lengthy debate over word usage, but that is in essence what drove my original response in the direction it went... :D

Note - After this response, the original post was modified to be less total and finite...

There are plenty of games I enjoy despite not liking the content.

For instance I really like Sisterly Lust and Parental Love but I don't like incest. I like the characters in the game but i'll never flick my bean to them.

I love the story of the Fate game yet I despise the MC.

thats not "not good according to your own standards"
just because one is better, doesnt mean the other isnt good.
i dont think you can like something that you think is not good. why would you play it otherwise ? i can dislike the writing in betrayed but still like and think the game is good because of renders or something else. but that still doesnt mean its not good. just certain aspect isnt.

It is entirely possible to subjectively love two things equally which are objectively far apart in quality even by that persons own standard.

Urban Demons has inconsistent art quality and not great animations. It's a little grindy and often buggy, and the MC's apparent age has me listening nervously for a knock at the door by the FBI. But nonetheless it's a fun game that has some hot elements-the concept of a megalomaniacal shota seducing and dominating older girls and much older women--including the women in his own family--with the skillful use of a few demon-imbued abilites is both hilarious and kinda hot to me. I wish it was better executed technically, but it's definitely a "guilty pleasure" to play.

For me, porn games per se are a sort of guilty pleasure, as I wouldn't quite brag about playing them in public, as I'd do with regular games. If they were on steam, I also wouldn't like their achievements showing up in my profile. But as far as talking about them in a forum like this:

No, simply because I care rather little about the technical perfection of a game, but mainly whether they contain the fetishes I like. That fact that I always prefer an unfinished buggy game about a milf being lured into lesbian submission to a technically perfect, complete straight shota game in a school setting, is not a guilty pleasure, but simply preference.
