I was looking for websites/communities for sharing/posting artistic erotic content that are

1. Virus/Trojan free

2. Without too many ads (by "too many" I mean ads are not mixed with the main content so that one has to be careful enough in order not to click on them.)

3. Popular enough.

I think most people may agree with me on the criteria above.

The best platform I have found satisfying all three is Twitter, but unfortunately there are too many (famous) people urging Twitter to remove the erotic content from there. I am a little worried about their sustainability. Our forum might be another, but I am not sure how popular it is... what is the average number daily active users in f95 btw?

Update: added "artistic" before "erotic content". If you want to recommend a Reddit-like community, please make sure it is not just for posting random low quality nude photos and videos.

What exactly are you looking to do? Posting your own original art? Sharing stuff you find? Maintaining not just a portfolio but also a payment platform for commissions and the like?

Pixiv, hentai foundry, furaffinity, blogspot and the like make it easy to tie everything to your persona. Of those listed pixiv also has "fanbox" which seems to be Japanese Patreon.

Speaking of which, artists who are in it for the money just upload their stuff to google drive/dropbox/MEGA/other file hosts and post the links on their payment platform(s) of choice, mostly Patreon in the West.

For sharing/piracy boorus like rule34 and especially the paheal site get a lot of traffic. They are optimised for individual images, and paheal is almost exclusively aimed at porn parodies of existing characters. For galleries, doujin, CG rips etc. either use a file host (see above) or just go straight to e-hentai where almost everything ends up sooner or later anyway.

Twitter is mostly for outreach and superficial social interactions. It is, quite frankly, utterly atrocious for sharing art starting with the need to have an account and be logged in to view 18+ content in the first place and continuing with not just ads but innate wasted space on PC, some lag/resource issues with "endless scroll", very limited capacity for organisation or any form of meaningful conversation, limited tagging and obtuse searching and limited file size for images. Pretty sure it also degrades the quality of images even further with compression.

With reddit it greatly depends on the moderators and the overall size/activity level of the community. Since the innate organisational unit is the subreddit and there are no lower intermediate layers it quickly becomes unwieldy once the content becomes more varied, but focused on a specific artist or niche fetish it works remarkably well for news and discussion. I don't see a reason to use it over a dedicated porn site such as this one though, F95 also has threads, search etc.
