There are also highly situational tags. An example is futa/trans. In most cases, I dislike the tag, but there are situations that I adore it. Although these situations are rare.

Then there is also tags that I generally dislike, but can overlook them depending on the situation. These can include lesbian.

Then there are tags that I'm in an abusive relationship with. They are tags that I really want to like, but just can't find games that appeal to me anymore, but I keep trying anyway. Oftentimes replaying the same shit games over and over again. These tags include mind control and management.

I agree with a lot of that lol. Some of my 'liked' tags are very situational; I like management but only maybe 1/20 'management' games manage to do a good job of it. And that 'real porn' is a good one I forgot about that, I hate that shit in games. Granted, if they ever made one where they actually shot content FOR THE GAME instead of reusing bland garbage internet porn, maybe it could be amazing...

Management:
I agree completely. I've always believed that management and adult games should go together perfectly. Sadly, the genre has been pidgeonheld largely to the brothel sim and it's struggled to break free from it. Plus, adult games have long since distanced itself from the complicated programing and calculations needed to produce a solid game. Things look even more bleak than ever since Vren vanished.

At least Free Cities still exists... Although I'm horribly burnt out.

Real Porn:
This is a universal "blacklist" for me. I'm not entirely sure anything will change that. however, your wish will likely be granted someday. Our community, and the adult entertainment industry, is evolving and developing at a rapid pace. Especially with onlyfans. It's only a matter of time until some small studio or onlyfans model tries their hand at a game for exposure.

Especially considering that some models are aware of our community. I remember one game got blasted by some porn stars for using their images and gifs in the game. I think it was A Spell For All?

Content that is more likely to be crap than on average (never a 100% chance though): 3dcg, real porn, ai cg, harem, incest, turn based combat, monster girl, japanese game.

Content I'm gonna try unless it's really obvious it's total crap from the preview: corruption, trainer, tentacles, 3d game

Not sure what's conflicting here. I like trainers and corruption narratives. More often than not, quality of these things is not obvious from the game description and screenshots. Just like the Humor tag, it's hard to know whether the jokes are good without playing the game. So I try a lot of these. That's the first part.

Second part, most games tagged or named as Trainers are... not that. They are VNs paired with resorce managers with a linear corruption narrative. Some of them have good writing, so that makes them good corruption VNs (but with some grind, bleh). But if the training "process" has no failure states or even regression loops, then it's not really a training game and the tag is misused. Which is not unique as tags go, the whole thing is a mess and will remain so until (if) we get community tagging.

Ah, I get it now. I don't really play trainer games, so I was not aware that was such an issue with them. Though, you're point about the humor tag is a difficult one, considering how subjective humor is.
