What do you think about point & click sandbox games

Overall, "better" is a very subjective term. It is entirely dependent on what the player wants from a game, and all of us want different things.

For me, it depends on what I'm currently in the mood for, and how well it is done. I like Summertime Saga, and Man of the House, and A Family Venture, because, IMHO, they are well done and the grind isn't too horrible. But I play "regular" Visual novels, with simple branching narratives, far more often, because it is harder, in my experience at least, to find GOOD open world games. And most of the time, all I'm looking for is a decent story and good art.

Point and click games are fun, as long as the grinding is kept to a minimum. In some games you have to repeat repetitive, boring tasks to advance the game and unlock content.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by point and click games? Seems like a very broad categorization. Do you mean games where you do anything at all, with a mouse? If so, I highly prefer them over strictly narrative games. I'm not against reading but if it's not well written or revolves too much about characters I don't care about, or if the art is poor, I will quickly bail on them.

The best games I've played were ones where I had to work for my reward. But it's rarely about how I interact with the game. It's more about if it's a good game to begin with. I tend to prefer simulation games because they at least have a game design.

Some form of interactive elements, be it grinding, puzzle elements, sandbox elements, or just freedom of movement is the bare minimum for me to enjoy most porn games. I like to work a bit for it and get immersed in the world, and there's no better way of doing that than giving the player some agency, even if it's just surface level stuff. Otherwise I often feel like I might as well just watch some regular porn. There are a few exceptions of course, but by and large I tend to stay away from pure narrative games.

If it's a point&click style mini game, that's fine. If this is switching different rooms in a random attempt to find the right room to continue the plot, then this is not very happy. I'm not against such walking around the rooms and different places, it's just that not everyone manages to make an adequate storyline that you don't have to look for, but it will be just clear. As usual, in such a game there is only one storyline for each character. It rarely happens more. I myself made a point & click where it was necessary to look for clues in the room as the main element of the game for passing further and plot communication between rooms. I already answered in another communication about the style of the characters.
