What is daz used for besides adult games and book covers ?

Im trying to understand because the assets sold just make no sense to me. The vast, VAST majority of environmental assets are either of poor quality or extremely limited in scope and use. Who buys the stuff an why ? Getting legitimately good stuff into daz is a nightmare and i cant imagine its by accident.

That is a good question, I never even heard of Daz before playing or messing around with making Adult games, and it just isn't as intuitive as other engines, I guess it is supposed to be entry-level for people who intend to work with these types of things? Like to learn the basics of posing and manipulating light and environment and things like that, 0% confident on this though.

People have used Daz3d making comics as well as short films. Affect3d is a good example of this. Since they make both comics and movies.

Last time I checked, it was mostly popular amongst bit-lit of bad taste.

Yeah it can look great, but it's still an horrible book cover. Daz used as a book cover gives of an extreme amateur fan-fiction vipe to me.

"Used in a lot of games" seems like an overstatement, if we don't count adult games. It'd make sense to me, if indie devs without a background in gfx design used Daz imports in Unity, but I never see those outside of porn. It's probably because the Barbie proportions and stripper clothes look out of place anywhere else.
It's not like you can't get good results with Daz, but it always looks like Daz.
