Sometimes you play one of these games and it just annoys you. And sometimes it annoys you so much that you facepalm so hard that you accidentally hit that delete button on the game folder, the downloaded file, the save games, your browser history and try to make the memories go away with tequila.

Now, normally it's bad form to go to a game's thread and post your bile, so post it here. I want to hear your stories about that game, yes, that game that was pretty good, if only it wasn't for that ... well, you tell me. Something that could not be unseen. If you completed the game, don't post about it, because then you didn't ragequit hard enough.

I'll start out with an example of my own.

This game has some very nice things going for it, such as great hard drawn images with a cute female protagonist in a corruption story. I played an earlier version of it, and it seemed pretty nice. Yesterday I noticed there was a "final" version out, so I downloaded it and started playing. Luckily my old saves seemed compatible.

I was at the point where Janna (the MC) starts working for the mayor as a maid. She had a maid suit and went there. (Note that this point, she's masturbating, can have a male character eat her out and another spank/fingerfuck her. Never touched a dick, iirc)

Here's how the conversation went:

Pretty much if the game makes the Player Character the antagonist to the game I quit playing. There's a way to do corruption, molestation, and otherwise without making your character a fucking retard in lechertown or, since there are femdom games with the same problem, a whiny bitch in femdom town.

I also rage quit games with excessive grind to supplement a lack of story.

Hmm, I know it well with Wind's Disciple. Initially I thought there will be some freedom of choices so I was really dissapointed when she was forced to fuck mayor so I didn't play it since.
Another examples are:
Cocketer Chronicles - It was great until 2 chapter for me. I tried to stay virgin but in 2 chapter there was a guy who was selling illegal ids whom I fucked. MC didn't remember nor mention her virginity at all. I checked a couple of other scenes and it was the same so I didn't play it since. Real shame for me as it totally removes my immersion.
Zoey's Temptation - Same as CC. But here develop didn't only forget about character's virginity after 3 days but also couldn't write a sex scenes at all so he decided to make animation for every scene. Quite annoying.
Big Brother - after 0.5 it was worthless. Eric's disposal and patrons' influence broke this game so hard it wasn't playable for me after that. Sad as it had enormous potential. At least it's a valuable lesson for all developers. And it made NTR popular which is great for me

Not exactly a rage quit but as soon as I saw the level of writing in Corruption, I had to turn it off. If you can't string together a sentence without typos or grammatical errors, I'm not gonna enjoy myself. Someone should go in there and tidy it up, big-time.

The most obvious one that comes to mind is Big Brother's introduction of the Eric character... For me (and many other folks) it is one of the dumbest mechanics to ever grace this genre of games... A character that no matter what you do, you always lose against him, and it takes an epic amount of work to get arid of him, more work and effort than I was willing to invest... When your family, the people you are blood related to and grew up with, always side with some stranger, and he blocks you at every turn, no matter what you say or do, that has got to be the most frustrating and infuriating story mechanic of all time, hands down... And you see it get made fun of in more games, and complained about in more forum threads, on more websites, then any other story mechanic ever introduced, other then the over use of Incest...

Eric was a very poorly implimented villain. As a mechanic, a villain is a good thing. In the case of Eric, it was just a roadblock that forced you to grind rather than actually play to advance the story. Imagine, if you didn't magically have to come up with $10,000 then get rid of him only to now have to pay the bills for the house... That game was such a grind.

I always check these scenes just to reload and pick otherwise. It's not forced ofc and I didn't say it. Maybe it's now corrected cuz I've played it long time ago. But that's my reason to quit the game when I played it. I will give it a shot some time again

Well, because I was playing a virgin, I didn't even attempt to use sex on him. Fairly certain I wouldn't have had the points to try, but I don't know that for sure. What I can say though, was that because I'd fucked up, I did have to fuck Caleb once, and that was forced, but you do make a comment on the fact that he'll be your first in an attempt to stop him from doing it.

Usually I quit on games if they don't run well on my computer, but some games are just fucking awful storytelling or storytelling without good delivery. One of the reasons why games like DMD and DOD are so popular is that you can have a long conversation and GUESS WHAT? Characters' facial expressions change, they move when they're walking places, scenery and camera angle changes. I get that it's more work, but if I'm going to read your story, I don't want to read it one sentence at a time as the picture doesn't change above it. You tell me that someone is smiling or laughing or readjusting the cock from their pussy to their ass but I can't see it. All I see is a hollow motionless shell that you're attaching words to.

Put in some effort people. Give us some cool angles, show us what they're feeling, don't just tell us.

Anyway, for me it's always few things, with most annoying ones: grind and lack of choice. I am not gonna sit and kill mobs for 2h just to be able to continue in a porn game, come on! I would rather start cheat engine and skip it all. Choices too, I get it, sometimes you need to push story forward, but at least give an option here and there, even if it's just seems like it does something. While I am at it: make NPCs react to female MC running naked, I am doing it for a reason, to get some reactions, what's the point when no one "cares"? Also, reactions: make MC more expressive, write her so she is likable, give her more than default few facial expressions, give important NPCs some images so she isn't talking to herself all the time.
Same goes for Trainer Games... ffs, just write few more sentences and mix them randomly into the dialogue, so I am not reading same shit over and over while trying to grind her whatever stat. I am not here to look at stat going lower, I am here to get immersed and have my fun...

Sometimes little things like this kill the fun and it's just "meh", don't care anymore *turns the game off unsatisfied*.

I don't usually ragequit, most of the time I either don't even start a game after checking the artwork or get bored and uninstall after sitting there for weeks without playing.

The few times I actually was filled with murderous rage were when I got screwed up for choice I had no way of knowing were wrong. Like in one VN I got locked in the default girl route because I didn't pick the exact choices for one of the others, or in BB when was locked out of tons of content because I picked olivia over Lisa.

That is one of the reasons I don't like pure Hentai based visual novels... You get one picture for the longest while, as the text describes what's going on, and yet it takes forever before the picture changes again to still not even closely resemble everything that the text is describing... Most of them tend to be what i call Lazy Visual Novels... Minimum number of pictures as possible with lots of text describing stuff that you have to just visualize in your mind primarily... Might as well just read a Romance Novel at that point...

Not because of Eric per say, but because when I finally managed to take a snapshot of him wanking it to the sister and showed it to the mother, the game told me to fuck off and that I'm not allowed to win. Not sure which update that came from, but that marked the last time I ever played the game. I seriously felt personally insulted by the Dev that he would offer such a horrendous bait and switch choice like that only to tell me no you still lose. The whole explanation was beyond ludicrous even for a porn game, the massive balls to put that whole situation in the game almost made me faint. It's one thing to give me a tough wall to climb and it's another to kick me in the face everytime I make it to the top and call me stupid for trying.

Au-Pair Innocence:

Emasculating the first protag Alex at every chance, removing scenes for no reason and forcing the player to grind for 100+ days just to lose. Also for the Dev lying to me about the future of the game and still lying about the game on his patreon page.

I've seen this game mentioned so many times, but haven't played it, because the main guy (Jack) looks like a douche. That's a reason, right? People keep saying that the writing is really good. So I tried it and chose to go for the good girl route. Boy, was that a mistake. I kept getting railroaded into meeting people that I didn't like, Jack and Jessica. Oh, I need to train, I'll go to the gym that that douche let's me train in for free and hope I'll avoid meeting him. Instead I meet a girl, Jasmin, that I reject and she goes ballistic on me. Let's go to town with my girl Eva, and of course we meet Jack. Fuck. Later, I run into Jessica, can't get away from having a makeover and when it comes time to choose a profile name for an Instagram profile, my character chooses Foxxy, because that Jasmin lady I didn't like suggested it. Couldn't take it anymore :-/ Also, game was depressing as fuck. Might try it some day when I'm in the mood for bad girl Ashley.

I find that you can still play her as a pretty satisfyingly good girl. Although I do agree, it'd be nice if you could just tell some of the people you meet in it to fuck off forever.
