What part of these games is the problem?

I have played quite a few visual-novel type games here with semi-realistic models and I noticed that I have some problems with some of them that I just can't quite put my finger on. Something about the models and exspecially the faces in some of these games just looks off and offputting to me, even though the models don't really look bad. So I thought I ask here at the chance that someone knows what the connections between these games is so I can avoid them in the future, without trying them.

Some of the games that were offputting were:
Desert Stalker
Treasure of Nadia
Saviour

Some of the games that were not:
Harem Hotel
Eternum
Virtues

Anyone know what the specific problem that I have is? I heard most of these games are made with specific render-programms, is it one of those programms that I apparently just don't like the results of?

Looking at some examples on the Daz website, this seems to be it. Thanks a lot! I looked into a few more examples and I think it's because the models eyes just often seem to have this dead look.

You heared of "Uncanny Valley"? If characters look real, but not real enough, it creeps some people out. It's just how our brain works sometimes. Maybe you experiance this...
