What the hell is it and Hentai games having absolutely abhorrent writing?

Maybe it's just not my style of gaming, but every hentai game i've played, every doujin i've read, just makes me fucking cringe.

The pathetic build up, the non existent character depth or even any attempts of writing. Every one seems to just squeak and groan like some 5 year old. Including the damn MILFs. They always have the same dumb faces (embarrassed yet aroused) and overall they act like fucking children, I find myself cringing way more than I find myself aroused.

I'm speaking in general of course and i'm sure there are some "good hentai" shit out there (I hear Rance is amazing), but I just haven't found any that differ from this mould. Most of the hentai games i've played have been absolute shit.

Let me give you actual examples of three games I just downloaded this past hour (and quickly uninstalled).

1. A Boy and his perverted Onesaans - The kid gets taken into a room with MILFs 2 minutes into the game where one of the school girls immediately starts groping the MILF right in front of him as she squeaks and groans like a child. No build up or coherent writing.
2. Drop Factory - Get asked to tutor some guy in the first few minutes. Turns out i'm being a sex education teacher and I immediately start getting penetrated, no build up or coherent writing.
3. The Little Brave - You're fucking your sister for the first time in the opening fucking seconds of the game. No build up or coherent writing.

What is this utter garbage? Who the fuck thinks women act like this? Is every work of Hentai written by some virgin who's never spoken to a girl in his life?

No.. Japan's saturated with that stuff and they willingly fap to it over and over. I got no idea why. I prefer variety. It's the spice of life.

It's come to the point where I am forced between this vomit inducing writing and "3D Incest game #2002230".

Feels bad man

For every good game I play there are a pile I skip.

Incest wise there are a few I really enjoy and incest was never a big fetish for me. I really enjoy a few stories going on like Dreaming of Dana, I Love Daddy (the mother is hilarious, I love the writing), Teachers Pet (again, the writing makes everything work, even toilet roll), Ethan's Legacy until the dev had to step back (still one of my favourites even though it will never get finished) and a couple of others.

However, there are those where a woman goes to buy some clothes (a grown woman that must have been buying clothes for years) finds herself being groped and thinks nothing of it. Those games are lazy and insulting. I don't mean insulting as in sexist, we're all here looking for porn at the end of the day, I mean insulting as in it makes them look stupid and us for going along with it.

It doesn't matter where the material originates, you will find the occasional diamond in the rough but a lot of it will be a horrible mess.

Holy shit, finally someone actually bring this up, thank you for this thread. I couldn't agree more, and if you don't want anymore headache i'll recommend stay away from any modern ecchi or any smut anime. especially the current seasonal ones. Used to pump 4-5 anime back the day. Not anymore.

I played one I think had INSANE writing. The visual novel called euphoria. I couldn't really use it for masturbation as it was well... very hardcore. But the story omg. I immediately wanted to talk to my friends about it, but then I remembered it was a hentai game...

I don't really have the same problem you do though. If I want good story I can actively seek it out in media that is not pornography. If I want good gameplay I can seek it out in games that are not about fucking.

Obviously it is best if they align, but if eroticism is what I seek, the sexual aspects will easily overshadow gameplay and writing. That is why I am willing to look at pictures / movies with japanese text / speech, not understanding the plot at all, or why I am willing to grind for hours to 100 percent unlock the cg for a game whose only gameplay elements are clicking through text.

Troupes and cliches are so ingrained into the genre that it's really more about meeting criteria. Devs who make h-games are just kinda check off the boxes as they go. Don't expect anyone to reinvented the wheel as the demand is for a lot more of the same, unless the game is being specifically marketed for western markets.
