I don't believe in locking main game content behind Patreon passwords, but what can an adult game dev offer that's worthwhile? You can't exactly sell t-shirts.

An impact on their favourite product. It can be meaningful (new scenes, characters, ...), or something small like voting which character gets the most love first.

Do people actually get excited about voting on their favourite games? I like the idea of it but i feel like most people aren't really all that excited about that. Maybe someone can chime in who has a large Patreon and tell us what percentage of Patreons actually engage with polls.

Fairly sure in a game everyone has their favourite character, and if that game happens to focus on specific characters and won't update their content equally, then voting is the only way to say "pls make sex scene with her".
You can also do other kind of votings, point is that anything that has an impact on the game you play is something worthy of subscribing for.

I don't like it when they put important info (like info about an update or important news) behind a paywall. Seems kinda sleazy. But hmm, maybe if they offered to make a model/render of you or put you in their game as a side character or for a cameo lol

I've been thinking about putting in some extra behind-the-scenes stuff for Patreon rewards like showing all the previous designs of a character before their final look, a tour through some locations that you don't get to see all of, or even videos detailing the development process of a scene explaining the challenges, hidden details, and intentions you had with the scene.

I am extremely opposed to stuff like offering to create a side character for my story. Ideally, the story you are telling is so tight and controlled that you don't have room to be adding all these miscellaneous characters for your patrons. Really kills the vibe when random characters appear because someone paid to have them included in the story.

They could also just put the person in the background, not having to do with the story at all. It doesn't have to be like "Oh, now I gotta add an extra bit of story/chapter for this and that person, etc" It's up to the Dev anyways.
