Whatever happened to the huge tags update?

I remember some time a good many months ago, in fact maybe sometime last year, when the site was supposedly going to go down to introduce dozens of new tags. Things like demon protagonist and monster, generally just a wide variety of things that would allow much more precise tagging of a game's contents. Also splitting up futa and trans so that people could stop with the annoying as hell obligatory "Uhm Acktually this isn't futa" post that was always under games tagged futa/trans, just because they hate how the internet uses futa.

Was that like, a trick? A failed update? Yet to be implemented? A poor-taste april fools? A worrying hallucination on my part?

I remember being excited for all these new tags to make things more precise and then it just never happened and no-one talks about it.
