So, with how prevalent and out of control AI porn has been getting in some places, I felt that if i really wanted to properly understand it and form an up to date opinion on it, I should tinker with it some.
That tinkering has gone off the rails. Way, far, insanely off the rails. And with that, my opinion has changed, somewhat. I was steadfast against it. It was evil. It was theft. And, in many ways it still is. Make no mistake, it is an abhorrent technology and in its current iteration, generative AI art is the trashiest of trash that could possibly ooze out of a leaky trashcan.
But I get the allure. You bang on the keyboard some, and out comes porn. There are characters I'm a fan of, that not a lot of other people are, and I don't have the skills or money to make/commission "legit" art of them. Slap some words into the prompt box, have the right files selected, and BAM! Porn aplenty.
At the same time, on the morality side of it, I don't have a leg to stand on in regards to my opposition to it. If I'm willing to pirate games here, snag movies and tv shows off the 'bay, and pillage Kemono for Patreon material I don't sub to... I can't sit here and high horse AI stuff.
That all being said, would it be allowed and for that matter, do any of you guys have an interest in the sharing of my porn centric pile of files. Not the art, the actual generation stuff. Been spending the last few weeks/months downloading and testing stuff and rather laboriously putting a file together (initially for my own sanity) that basically cheatsheets all the generation keywords and etc. It's basic as fuck, but is searchable and easy enough to browse.
The file size would have to be through torrents. I have neither the patience and the interest in trying to get it all parsed down enough to upload to "normal" file hosts. I'd prolly break it up into packs. Like a BASIC basic starter pack, then say a cartoon character pack, a celebrity pack, genre pack... etc.
All in, what I have sorted so far in terms of checkpoints (the generation engines) and loras (the files that guide the engines) is a whopping ~250 gigs. BUT! It all works. Not necessarily everything with everything, but every lora has at least one checkpoint that works with it and every checkpoint has at least some kind of unique style or compatibility. There's not a lot of redundancy and in terms of things "working" it is literally a matter of if it doesn't seem to be working "right", just change the checkpoint and experiment some. Depending on if this ends up being "a thing" and if interest in it is enough, I could prolly work at amending my cheatsheet with basic guidelines on compatibility.
For those that would be pondering the hardware limitations, I've been cranking at this with a gaming laptop (so not a slouch) but one that is about a year old. It wasn't top of the line (about $1k when I got it) but isn't a super basic one. There has been some crashes (mostly due to my refusal to not multitask) but it isn't slow and on the lower settings coupled with the "quicker" generation settings, it's been absurdly impressive in terms of what I've been able to pump out while being on the mid range of horsepower.
So sound off in here, mods delete this if it violates anything, and let me know where we stand on this. In theory over the next few days I could start getting stuff parsed into a basic "test" bundle if there's some adventurers that want to be my guinea pigs.
