Not sure about "best ever" cause I haven't played dozens of them, but I'm still going to answer Sorcerer. It has a pretty nice story, also has an MC who's not a loser creep and not a chad Gary Stu, avoids making the LIs throw themselves at the MC and gives them pretty full personalities and motives. The writing is also way better than average for adult games, though that's kinda backhanded praise and it's still not really my thing. Lot of people don't like the automatic sex scenes tho.
