I don't really have anything on that... Most incest games around here kinda ignore the psychological conflict of it and go straight to "bang your kin" fest.
The only game that comes to mind as have a LITTLE of that is DMD, where the F is sometimes torn between screwing his "innocent" bimbo daughter.
Hmm... Maybe My New Life could fit on that, as at least one of the parts is conflicted by it.

Definitely Dual Family then. This game is really the #1 game I've played for dealing with the harsh reality of its subject matter.
If I'm honest though, I haven't played many other games that trigger a psychological question beyond the basic "this is wrong but it feels right" Which might be why i'm writing my own... or at least partially why.
If Ptolemy hasn't abandoned it like he made it sound in his thread, Intimate Relations seems to be exploring the psychology a little better than normal. It helps that he's swapping between characters, giving us a look at their thoughts and actions.
The mother line with View of Family has a fun tryst with psychology, as your method for getting mom over her inhibition is using the psychologist mother of one of your students... however it's still just ignoring the psychology rather than really exploring it.
I considered DmD for a minute too... I'm invested so I've even played the most recent update even if I don't think the story is all that good. I'd say that he flirts with it, however he's managed to write a story that largely allows him to ignore it anyways. It's entirely plausible that he and D wouldn't have the psychological barrier we normally have with incest because by the time she hit puberty she was already out of his life...

Inevitable Relations maybe. The mom still loves her wife, but discovers she has feelings for her daughter. She can also resist these urges and act like a normal mother, e.g. tell her daughter to dress modestly.

I could never really go far in Dual Family... I mean, I admit the game is good and writing is on point, but... It just feels so... Heavy... Like a truck loaded with feels.
Every time I play it I just feel like stabing myself repeatedly in the chest with a kitchen knife.

In my story I'll try to deal with that aspect of an incestual relationship, but I won't go too deep on it, it's a comedy after all.

I know what game you're talking about... Can't remember the name tho, shit was so bad I kinda erased it from my mind.
I think the main reason for mothers being dumb or innocent is due to the conception we all have that "mothers don't have sex", or maybe most people just have a fetish for stupid mothers, who knows, lol.
I tried to make mine a slice of life romance... and by that, it's kinda tonally all over the place. There's a very depressing backstory, and things happen in the world which are dark, but the characters are able to laugh and have fun in spite of it all. The game opens with an incestuous sexual assault but then picks up 3 years later and on day one the brother (victim) and sister (girl who killed her father to save victim) are relaying a hilarious story about a game of dungeons and dragons they played. That's not to say that they don't have dark moments. The sister has this deep rooted fear that her feelings for her brother make her as much a monster as their father. And of course, the brother has a very hard time even talking about him... calling him by his first name even.
Bad writing by writers who treat their female characters like sexual objects rather than giving them personalities and motivations of their own.

Mine's a comedic slice of life, filled with silly humour and pop culture references. I was heavilly inspired on those silly ecchi harem animes. It starts a little dark and depressing tho, just to show how much MC's life sucked.

But... does writers don't know that innocent doesn't mean dumb ?
Let's take as example a son touching his mom's butt. The innocent mother will understand that there's potential sexual intent behind it, but think that her son is just "at this age", and just try to know what it feel to touch a girl butt. She'll fail to understand that her son can feel a sexual desire over her, because she's too innocence to imagine such a thing.
This while the average "dumb mom" in game tend to think that he searched to take the glass on the table and just missed it by five meters ; or thing that his hands are cold and he just want to warm them. She'll fail to imagine just one second that it can possibly be some kind of indirect sexual act. It's no more innocence at this level.
