So I was talking to some ntr haters in a comments section on a ai pornbot site and I asked them this exact thing. And the answer was that those are just fantasies meanwhile cheating is a real thing and it's gonna influence people, normalize cheating etc etc. it seems kinda silly to me but they seemed to believe it
idk I've never been cheated on, maybe there's a lot of traumatised people out there that's why they're sensitive to it?

But let's break down their excuse, and opposite it to what they play and promote, harem games:
For girls to be influenced and think that cheating is normal, she need to play NTR games.
Most of them will not do it. Not because girls are innocent and don't play porn games, but because those games tend to be raw when it come to sex. It's straight corruption, while most girls prefer a more romantic setup.
For boys to be influenced and think that stealing someone's girl is nomal, he need to play a harem game.
In those games you don't care if there's a boy in the picture, most of the time you don't even ask. As long as you don't see him having sex with the girl he's with, it's good for them.
Take incest harem games by example. Who care if the father is still in the picture. Who care if the sisters have a boyfriend or not. It's even frequent that you cockblock the father, or mother's future boyfriend, or your sister's boyfriend. And of course you'll convince the girl to breakup, or at least stop having sex with him.
Boys who play those games are taught that as long as you like the girl, nothing else matters. She must be yours, this whatever if she's in a relationship or not.
It's the games they play and promote that are a threat for them. It's because of those games that boys come to their girls, tempt them, then fuck them. What a good way to fire a bullet in your own foot...
I can understand that someone who had a bad breakup because (s)he was cheated on can not like NTR, and possibly hate the feeling that it trigger.
But it still feel ridiculous for them to overreact to the point that they hate the whole genre by itself. It's masochism at its finest, where you can't live without thinking about wht hurt you...

For me NTR is in the "why do people even like this" camp. But unlike other things in that group like scat which have very few fans, it seems like NTR fans are everywhere. I don't have to deal with scat fans in every thread, but I can't say the same for NTR fans.

I think the biggest issue with NTR is how most NTR is not NTR and it's more like an open relationship with insane voyeur or wife sharing or swinger stuff.

I think the concept upsets people more than the actual executed content available to them. So it spawns these conversations because people like something that is more a vague afterthought of NTR but what they really enjoy is the play by play of a kinky woman they are not invested in or have a relationship with doing kinky stuff.

See the mood click for netorare in my sig? It may be weird, but the heavy emotional damage NTR stories are the ones that I prefer over what is basically the standard "some guy fucked another guy's girlfriend/SO" NTR games. Also, not into the rape NTRs either. So, my scope of NTR enjoyment is pretty low, especially in games since most devs shy away from true emotional damage plotlines.
