Its weird. I think its because its an easy way to make a Character look different.

IMHO its because a lot of people subconsciously view the black friend the same as the fat friend: just there for story purposes but not a potential competitor for the girls you're trying to bang because of course she wouldnt be interested in the black guy*

Don't know, but i noticed they're mostly portrayed in two ways. The MC's best friend or a Villain to the MC trying steal & corrupt the MC's love interests using bbc/cuckolding/swinging porn cliches.
