Whats with the US and their need to have IDs to see lewds?

I hear more and more news about politicians trying to set in motion another rounds of limits to how much sensitive information you gotta share to porn sites before they allow you to enter the site which is awfully concerning by default because it just opens up the world to a whole load of scammers and data thieves.

Arizona is the latest where they are trying to pull this, are they seriously have no bigger problems to deal with so they can waste time making browsing the net for whatever you want more inconvinient?

They're trying to find a sneaky way to ban porn without actually banning porn. The anti-porn people have figured out a few things:
1) Continually equate all adult entertainment with "trafficking" and "exploitation".
2) If you cut off porn money (Mastercard/Visa), people can't make a living and the porn people shut down.
3) "Won't someone think of the children!"
