Where do game saves go?

I feel like a lot of games put their saves in a different place than the games folder itself. I have no idea where they are, and I probably have a lot of saves that I would like to delete. Where would the save files be going? I've looked in Users/myname and can't find AppData there.

Go to the view menu of your user folder and tick hidden items, the folder should appear.
