I am already aware of here, , and as places to post announcements about my newly developed game, . Do any fellow game developers have any other suggestions on places where announcements could be placed that would increase game exposure? Thanks so much in advance for any help you can render in this area.

Itch.io is also a good place.
But honestly.
All other sites have been shiate or mediocre for me so far.
f95 is where I've gotten the most exposure and patrons

Obvious places, Reddit and ULMF
Not so obvious to me. I have heard of Reddit, but as I understand it, Reddit is divided up into many subreddits. Which one would be the right place? I had not heard of ULMF. I have taken a look there and will post my game there as well. Any other suggestions?

Mike Masters, author of College Life suggested this to me and said that when he was beginning, even if each only brought in a few patrons each month, it added up. I am just trying to build as much awareness of my game so that I can build patronage and a user base.

there is this one is kinda dead, most people moved to the discord or to f95zone but it is where I started out and now people are mostly just using it as a place to post their game.
there is which is kinda a free for all, its big but a more general nsfw community
there is this is the same as NSFWgaming except it is moderated and this is probably the best place to post your game on reddit, as just about everyone there will be your target audience.
lastly, there is which is not as chaotic as NSFWgaming but it is not as focused as lewdgames in terms of trying to get new games out there.
there are other nsfw subreddits, but really they are not really focused on games so you are less likely to find your target audience. since I subscribe to all of them, it is not uncommon for my feed to have 2 or 3 postings of the same game from each of the different subreddits.

ULMF is the OG nsfw forums, but I can never remember the name and compared to f95zone it is pretty outdate (I have been loving the new site update here!)
Itch.io I think is not so much a place for sharing your game, but more for distributing a game. if your reddit post will not be sending them to your patreon, and you are not sharing it freely, itch.io is a great place, since it acts like a dedicated web page for your game and a place to sell your game from.

you can thank my years of lurking for the information :3

And who said lurking didn't have long-lasting shelf value. I thank you for your detailed response. Like many game creators who create games and seek patronage, I have a "free" game release for the public, then I have the release for the public, which is generally anywhere from 1-2 months after the Patreon release. So I will definitely use the Itch.io site for distributing the free version, and hopefully encouraging patronage to get the paid release, given that it will come with lots of other benefits. Again, thank you for your sharing the fruits of your furtive skills.

Also, you mentioned Discord as a potential place to distribute games. What Discord channels would be good locations to do that, as I am new to Discord as well.

I am not too sure of any discord servers that are a good place to promote one's game. I know the nsfwDev discord people post links to their game, as well as the f95 discord, but the other nsfw discord I watch is smutbase, and that is not so much about games as it is about using blender and posting smut and memes.

Thanks for sharing this information. That will become handy for me too in a few months.
That's partly why I started the thread. I realized that if I was looking for info, it was likely that others might be looking as well.

There's a few places that will 'promote' your game whether you want them to or not.

I'm talking about sites like svscomics, romcomics, etc. They like to acquire downloads and offer them through (usually) much slower download portals like uploaded, keep2share, fileboom, florenfile, etc. (unless you pay for the privilege) than you will find here.

My free crossover comic hit SVS within 24 hours or so of my posting it here... the download there even says 'F95Zone exclusive' in the art (I have that on the first couple of pages).

So I wouldn't 'sweat' those sites picking up your game eventually. A couple of those are usually right on top of things. No doubt they have members that watch the downloads that appear on THIS forum (and a few others), and then share them there.

To your question, though, there are a couple of other sites that I used to follow before finding this one. The traffic there is low, but if you are trying to 'cover as many bases as you can', they are:

The mods there tend to get hung up by obscure things like proper grammar though.

Another site that I used to pay attention to.

Both of these may already be in the Bloo guide that was posted above. That guide is quite useful!

Admittedly, I'm not very good at self promotion, but I'm only active on here and on reddit, when I have a release. You could also reach out to a few youtube streamers that have playthroughs of Adult Games and see if they'd stream your game on their channel. I've done that in the past, but I'm not sure how many new patrons I've got because of that but there are a few thousand views. The streamers don't put a link to your patreon or anything in the description, so you're relying on their audience to see them play your game, and then want to search for and download it themselves.
Honestly, this site is so much bigger than any others, I really think this is the place to focus your time. I've seen my game on svsgames and fapnation and others, but this site gives you a much larger audience and it seems way more like a community. The thread on this for my game has damn near a million views - I have to believe that is a much larger number than anywhere else on the internet.
Good luck!

It’s hard to say these days. F95 has grown a lot and may be one of the top places to get advertised. I’m not saything because I am biased but more to the fact, that I only watch here than any other place.

I use to watch ULMF and a few subreddits but I have noticed a lot gets here soon than those places.

I agree... I have advertised my games in all places known to mankind and this is the only place where I get the most views and the only feedback

One option is to arrange a cross promotion deal with other devs where in exchange for them plugging your game on their patreon, you’ll do the same for them. I notice a lot of devs doing that now, including one I work for.

You could also consider making a trailer and posting it on here, YouTube and various other porn streaming sites. Not sure how beneficial it’ll be, but I’m considering it for one of the games I’m soon to release.

I've seen a number of adult gameplay/playthrough videos on Pornhub. That's an interesting way to promote your game I suppose. Not sure how many actual game downloads it might generate, but it's exposure at least!
