Greetings,

I'm looking to start playing a 3D game where I can create characters and setup poses. Like Koikatsu or Custom Maid 3D series. The problem is I don't know where to start since all of them have many variants.

Koikatsu so far from what I've been seeing has Koikatsu, Koikatsu Sunshine, Koikatsu Party. Custom Maid 3D series has CM3D, COM3D, COM3D2. Not to mention that both Koikatsu and CM3D have so many mods out there.

I don't know where to start so can someone help explaining to me?

Many thanks, wish you all a very nice day.

Koikatsu (KK) and Koikatsu Party (KKP) are the same thing. KKP is what it's named on Steam. Koikatu is also the same thing.
Koikatsu Sunshine (KKS) is the newest sequel (kind of) to Koikatsu. Newer poses, a different area to play around in, that sort of thing. SOme small QoL improvements as well.

As for the Custom Order Maid games, they seemed too complicated for me to be bothered with, since I don't usually have much free time on the computer to play around and learn them too much. I've just used KK for years by this point so I'm familiar with it, and there's a shit ton of mods and characters to download and install. I prefer KK/KKS.

Honey Select/Honey Select 2 are also from Illusion, the makers of KK/KKS. Check that one out if you prefer models to look more realistic than anime (think "Final Fantasy VII Remake" type of realism). Hope this helps a little.

This helped me a lot, thank you very much. I'll look into it more.

ScrewThisNoise does the amazing with almost all free available mods arleady installed and ready to play, and comes with an updater so new mods are regularly added to the pack. It's just a matter of choosing which games you want.

Personally I would recomend either KK or HS1/HS2. HS1 has more mods as it's been around the longest, but HS2 is steadily catching up and imo has better graphics. KK if you want the anime shading style, KK Sunshine is the newest and probably has the least amount of mods.

Thank you very much, the updater sounds very convenient.

I second this. There's generally 2 ways to update and have mods installed easily. One is with ScrewThisNoise's , as stated here by Beatrix Kiddo and the other is with HF Patch by on the github. I usually go the way of HF Patch after I install the BetterRepack first to get the base stuff. It's all up to you, my friend. Good luck and Happy Fapping!
