Which studio should I choose?

Hey people!
So I have made the first episode of a visual novel using HS2 studio. The problem I have learnt later is that using HS2 is technically illegal (even though they never prosecuted anyone in my knowledge.) when making your game. And I can't sell it on Steam. The question I have is which engine should I use that is totally legal and perfectly safe? I looked up Daz but it seems that you actually need to purchase assets to be in that legal spot. I need all the advice regarding Daz too because I don't know about it much.

The problem is not Steam or money. Steam is kind of a filter for legalness. Anything you can't put there is in a loophole that nobody knows anything about. I don't wanna wake up one day in a bad situation just because Illusion or whatever Illgames something decides to sue everyone for using their game.

But like I said Honey Select is illegal.

Shoot your shot using honey select, in my opinion. As someone who tried to create porn and get paid for it using Honey Select, I think you'll be happier as a person using an outlet/program you know, rather than trying to learn a new outlet/program from scratch.

If you consider replacing porn with your own creations a success, I would highly recommend sticking with Honey Select. If it's 100% all about the money, I still recommend honey select to test the waters, because relearning another app, and then competing with everyone whose been using the app will be hard. Perhaps see how a game does here, and then see if you should worry about steam.
