Which style of renders would you prefer in my game?

The first style is more similar to eternum, cosy cafe and other popular honey select games. (using the default models and slighty changing them)

The second is me trying to westernize the models using head mods from a talented modder.

The result is more realistic, but I wonder if people would rather have cuter-looking characters than realistic ones?

I'll probably go with my own way anyways, but I'm curious on what others would say.

both are great in their own way, what really matters is that the story itself is rich and captivating and not just a jumble of mess with sex-scene after sex-scene.

I think that the first girl looks kinder, more friendly and more welcoming, but also very young and innocent. The second looks like an adult, and beautiful, but also kind of bitchy.

I'm working on the story the most I know that's more important than graphics, but It's hard to make choices sometimes when two things look good.

Logan is right about the different vibes they give, so it's harder to make a choice.

I tried to make them give the same vibes but with the different headshapes or "artstyles".

Which one do you guys prefer?

Not sure I'd say it's better but I prefer more unique. I think I lot of people are a bit turned off by the sameness of under-modified HS2 models. 4th pic does look better than 3rd IMO. Still has a lot of the standard look. For example the lips are unrealistically thick like almost all HS2.

I like the mouth and eyes of the second one better, either way that arm seems a bit off, a bit too long.

Using head mods from a modder, if it's the ones you can't modify, is a double edged sword. It gives you a unique out-of-the-box look, but any other dev can use the same girl you're using in one of their games.

It is all Illusion games. Long story short Illusion basically claims rights to all images made with their software. There's been some question about whether it'll still be in effect since Illusion is technically gone now but I'm pretty sure that makes no difference. For one someone still owns the rights to what used to be owned by Illusion. The other thing is that from what I've heard it's not that Illusion requests to take the games down. I've heard Steam knows enough to take them down as soon as they spot it. All that being said afaik they don't sue people for the money they make. I believe they just demand the game being taken down and always win on that front.

to bad the developers and the people behind illusion can't come to some kind of agreement. like paying them royalties for vn and avn's created with their softvares. there have been some amazing stories made over the years

its a head mode for the base but i can modify it as i want

To be honest mate I prefer the first model, we're bombarded with "sluts" enough as it is.
For me cute is the more arousing option.
